Hoping it's wrong, has been said the long range weather forecast is for rain on Grand Final day.

Rain all week apparently

A real blow for the Show, apparently they sold out 60,000 yesterday who took advantage of the good weather.

Thank goodness the WAFC had the good judgment to hold the GF at Optus and not repeat their folly of last season. Next to no cover for the spectator at the Parry Street dump.

The last time Subiaco and South Fremantle played each other in the Grand Final there was between 18 to 19 thousand in attendance. Given we are in Grand final week, let us hope the Wafl receives the same attention and coverage as other sports have done by the mainstream media. Perhaps one of the tv stations could televise a pre Grand final Wafl tv show on Thursday evening when the teams are announced for example? Sadly there seems to be too many tv shows in relation to other sports? It could be broadcast from the South or Subiaco club rooms? That would create more interest in the Grand Final, for sure.  Hopefully the Grand Final will have a crowd of at least 25 thousand. The average Grand final attendances are getting worryingly low for the past 7 years or so!

Than a bullshit Sunday when most people have work the next day, I reckon that gives a better chance for a slightly better crowd, my tip is 18,000.

The new CEO of the WAFC said on tv today 20,000 tickets have been pre-sold already so he was hopeful of 25,000 +.
