When your trying to retain your relevance and profile on the WA sporting calendar for your marquee finale,the other alternatives put forth were sheer lunacy.

Best news I have read all day. Now its up to all of us WAFL fans to go the game if we can, no matter who is playing. A crowd of 20000 would make for a good atmosphere at the ground particularly if they only sell seats in the lower tiers.

Sorry, I like the decision to play at Optus but I'm going to find it hard to motivate myself to see C or SF lose to Subi again. 

Sanity prevails. Thank farrrk for that. As others have said no other option should EVER have been considered. Imagine what a joke we would have looked compared to the SANFL GF at Adelaide Oval if it was played at the dilapidated Fremantle Oval while we boast the best stadium in the country by the length of Flemington straight!!

Now time for the WAFC to show some imagination and come up with a fair price to encourage punters to go and create a great day and great atmosphere. $25 to $45 a pop not $35 to $75 prices that were in place for the Dreamtime game. $35 was nose bleed seats. 

Fill it with cheaper admission and we will spend plenty at the tuck shop and the bar. And allow all WAFL clubs to sell seats.

The top WAFL game of the season deserves top billing at the premier WA Stadium.

Been ten years since Claremont and Subi met in a grand final

Sounds like they put in a great bid that was financially competitive so its a good result for all parties, at least the threat of losing the GF has resulted in them being more realistic cost wise so its been a good idea to run the tender process, a win for the WAFC.
