What compounded that was the fact that we were in a financial mess and the president Mal Atwell had to engage in a fire sale of premiership players,where we lost Larry Kickett,John Mcguire,Steven Curtis,Paul Arnold,John Hayes,George Michalczyk and a host of others to balance the books.

the junior zones got way out of whack in the 80s.i remember that subi had as many juniors as west perth and east perth combined.that is why west perth moved to joondy as all that area up the coast was subis.

StT this is a serious question,

Why play a nearly 20 year old who got 26 possessions at FB in the colts. Surely he should be playing in the reserves or even the league at FF (he is the spitting image of Tex Walker in bulk and playing style). Your league team had Clayton Giblett who in my opinion is an outstanding backman and yes I know he is injured  (so why play him) at FF, Quartermaine has to be a better option going forward. The other point is nearly 20 in a colts side, surely he is keeping a younger kid out of the side getting some development.

It's a good question to ask. He's got work to do on his game but I question why it has taken to this season to accelerate that process?
 

Exactly Grump, I noticed those stats yesterday. We have to start promoting these guys but I guess if you look at our colts stone cold last with no wins and a woeful percentage of 40% after it went up from 38% after what we classify a narrow 24 point loss to your side yesterday, one wonders how they would cope if  Harry is promoted.

By the way back on this topic, your club doesn’t seem to have the same trouble as my club when it comes to adding new growth suburbs to your junior zone. I know Swan Districts supporters were pissed off after they did all the early work in the early stages of Ellenbrook only to have it taken away and handed to East Perth. 

Well Swans supporters aren’t going to be too pleased to discover they are going to lose another couple of suburbs in the north east corridor to East Perth. 

Meanwhile it’s like Groundhog Day every year at Perth, we are left behind with the most inferior junior zone in the comp and arguably the worst country zone as well. And what is the WAFC and Perth Football Club doing about it? As far as Perth supporters are concerned, FUCK ALL it seems.

DD I do not question PFC and its zone, EPFC have its own issues over the years and yes maybe it is improving but mainly from the SW. I do know that we have worked hard to get it better with what we have!

If there is to be redistribution the surely it is for all clubs.

One would hope so Grump. I believe your SW zone is booming due to the growth of the Busselton and Margaret River areas. Sadly I don’t see much growth happening in the Avon Valley region.

Have a quick look at where the PFC draftees have come from in the past 20 odd years.
You may be surprised.
