As STT states Perth needs some more money in their zone besides South Perth. Applecross is 15 minutes to Lathlain and the obvious choice. No use adding Armadale and Kelmscott.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Attadale a stretch. But Applecross is three streets from Lathlain.

Canning Highway, right at Berwick St, left at Miller St and you’re there.

East Freo would be left with plenty of Fat even without Applecross.

This is the one we go for

Gairloch Reserve to Lathlain Park = 9ks

STT, pretty sure Birdman educated us n great detail what Perth apparently don't do but should do quite a few times in this thread re engagement..but hey what would Birdmam know despite his many years of engaging with the South Perth Footy club...which Perth Footy zone footy club were you associated with again STT?

Stayed off this thread for a couple of weeks in the vain hope that PFC may lift their game given the many comments made - and I'm not "from thousands of miles away" - I'm from a senior Club in PFC's metro zone.

So, what's happened this year?

Contact with my Club this year? Nil - just as it has been.

Contact with local JFCs this year? Nil - just like it has been. Asked the question directly of a JFC President last week - PFC haven't been at that Club in years. Wonder if they've been to South Perth JFC yet?

List of JFC in PFC's metro district on their website? Still blank - and still no mention of senior Clubs at all.

But we're still BOLD, CONNECTED and COMMITTED.

Do the WAFC have a role to play? Absolutely!! They should be out kicking the backsides of those WAFL Clubs doing little or nothing in their districts - and surely PFC isn't the only one - or are they?

Maybe the half a million or so they've been hand out to these Clubs each year needs some performance KPI's?

Thanks for that post Birdman, yet another insightful post that STT will probably ignore as crap because no it's not 1000's of miles away, but more too close to home for his liking.

STT, like you mate I have family and friends no doubt who have played, coached and supported footy clubs senior and junior in a variety of WAFL club zones metro and country....yes none from the PFC, but definitely EP , EF, SD and SF zones all with more positivity then Birdman's reports.....I get it PFC zones may seem unfair, unjust, but definitely not worth 50 pages of regurgitated crap, mainly from yourself, if Perth had Cl zone and Cl colts success we wouldn't hear a peep from you as your mantra would be how well the PFC engages with their junior zones....time to move on mate, more important things in life to worry about....take a citalopram or a fluoxetine if it's getting you down....life is unfair at times.

Birdman I was under the impression that the Club's development (Dept?) was staffed by WAFC people.
Direct employees?
Having said that you would think that the odd PFC director would visit to watch a game at least.
Like they did back in the 70s.

Last spoke to the WAFC employee at Perth 2 or 3 years ago. He said that 80% of his time was spent sorting out issues at Junior Clubs, mostly involving parents, that the Clubs themselves couldn't fix. Having worked in the HQ of a youth organsiation, I knew exactly what he meant.

You'd like to think so, but no, that doesn't happen at my Club.
