Had a bit to do with the bloke who generally umpires Swan Districts as an umpire provided by my team and by opposition and have to say he is one of the better ones I have come across. He is involved with the WAAFL in some kind of umpiring role also so must be up with it. Can only say it may have been a fill in as I know he doesnt do every game for Swans or as we all do he may have had an off day.

Dont like blokes coming on here bagging off umpires and then making excuses about their own ability with comments like "we are just a thirds side". Fact is if you're a thirds side you get third grade umpires, hopefully the umpire gave you sh*t everytime you stuffed up a kick!

South, he only paid 2 free kicks all day for us! They were the most obvious kicks too. He is a massive sword who actually sucks up the ass of these guys, plus he talks to there players like they are best buds, lets them complain to him but when our players question a decision he threatens them with a card! Yeah we were off with our skills. 2.5 we led to 2.1 at quarter time.

In the second we dropped off with our man on man and a few bad umpires decisions they kick 6.3 to 1.2

In the third we kicked the first 4 goals to get the margin to a point, they then kicked the next 3 and undid most of our good work.

In the last we got the margin back to 14, we then hit the post twice, one on the full and kick two more points. They go down and kick the final two goals. Game Over

We played ok, but know we can beat them we just need to play a bit better and not have their umpire.
With Noranda beating Ridge it's looking like we MIGHT finish 3rd and get first crack at them in finals.
Would love to see them go in straights!

Harry Highpants has nothing to do with the WAAFL in any capacity. Don't know where that BS came from but one thing is correct is that he won't be umpiring finals.

No truth to that rumor at all Dreaming. We played against them and lost by a point after leading all day.

There is true that us (Brentwood) only scored 2 behinds all day against swan districts though. One of those being rushed.

I heard Swan Districts only scored 1 behind and you got up.
Is that true - good work if you did.

Unfortunately 'Stacky66' - if that is your real name - they scored multiple goals. And when I say multiple I mean many. If only we had some better coaching this year.

I'm unsure who kicked our team's score, but no doubt it was impressive.

You were strong last year, what would you attribute your fall from grace to? I think the grading seems unfair but losing last year's coach must have been a real body blow. Word is he is a tactical genius.
