So finals are now upon us with the top 5 remaining unchanged over the weekend. Only real surprise was wanneroo going down to cwp, correct me if in wrong but with the weekend having no bearing on the ladder position for the boys from the showgrounds they may have taken the opportunity to rest a few before taking on the prisoners this weekend.

As for our result the scoreline doesn't accurately reflect the competitiveness of the game with Rossmoyne only really kicking away in the last quarter. They do have an outstanding backline who will prove very hard to breakdown. They would certainly have to he the favourites for the flag However with that being said- I feel as though on the right day any of the other top 5 sides are capable of beating them based on what I have seen first hand this year.

Looking forward to taking on Ridge this weekend where hopefully we can avenge our 1 point loss from last time around and make a charge towards the grand final from 5th spot,

Highpants we were slightly under manned but CWP played well and deserved their win.

We just couldn't kick straight early while we were on top.

O.5 to 1.1 at Quarter time
1.9 to 3.2 at Half Time

Then CWP made us pay with a four goal run in the third quarter. Then we were pushing shit up hill.

Hopefully a wake up call to the boys. Looking forward to the weekend against the Prison team. We need to get back to our best footy to win and hopefully the fact we are smarting from the weekend should be spur enough plus a potential two cracks at a grandy if we win!

Joomla, being that they are a thirds side maybe finishing dead last and goin down a grade is a better result in E1 if Rossmoyne & the Farm team remain 1 team clubs and don't get elevated next year...would sit better with the rest of us if we knew that both these clubs were at least doing their utmost to grow as a football club and field 2nd sides but from everything we hear Rossmoyne are happy with their one team status playing at a level they can dominate in. Kudos to them for surviving as a club when quite possibly, from what I've heard anyway, that they nearly folded after once being strong combatants in B grade but if they are happy to stick around in E1 or even D grade forever what is the point. Never did hear what exactly happened there for them to suffer such a rapid fall from grace. Did hear a lot of players walked away but never heard why. In my 20yrs around ammos mass exodus from club/s tend only to happen when either the wrong coach is employed or $$$ are being fed to the almighty few or both. Hope this wasn't the case.

I heard a rumour that the E3 Qualifying final was called off and awarded to Hamersley Carine. I believe Beechboro may have already picked up 3 red cards before the umpires made the call. Not a good look for Beechboro's hopes of hosting a final again next week....

Could almost bet number 3 was one of them. Sniping dog he was week before against us. They were up by 15 goals and he's throwing elbows like they were chicken wings on sale at red rooster.

Beechboro went the man and not the ball in a big dirty way. They are a waste of talent who would be a lot better if someone could control their players. Hammersley knew boro would snipe so played the ball and got the result. Boro had 1 on the bench until the rest of their side turned up at half time! Beech should win the flag as they are playing 3rd's sides but can't see it happening. Collegians are sitting pretty!

No surprises that the game was called of as Beechbro were only interested in one thing frm the start of the game .Without there umpire Beechbro will really get Lund out in the finals series. They prob have more skill than all the other teams but have no discipline. Their coach is mad and not a good role model. Bayswater got up with the last kick of the day to win over the Athletes.
This weeks games are both at Dalkeith. Collegians pay Hammersleyand both teams play the same style. The Blues will have there work cut out but a big home crowd should get them over the line. Bayswater you would think will beat Beechbro as it looks like they ill have a number of suspensions and Bayswater play a very tight hard game that will cause Beechbro some problems.
