a) How dumb a couple of your players are. If you get pinged 50 metres for disputing decision/arguing with the umpire - stop doing it!

b) Shows Noranda's umpire should have paid more free's to Coolbinia. Apart from last qtr they were second to the ball, playing from behind = give away free kicks.

c) Both goal umpires looked about 12 which is what you expect at E grade games, I am sure both kids did there best.

d) According to you the ruck infringement was 25m out, now you say 20m out, pretty soon it will have been in the goal square.

Out of interest were you the guy who chucked the *hits after the game, went into the change rooms and started kicking doors?

nah mate, just there to watch

don't disagree with some things you've said here (a & c) but will stick with my original point here that one umpire blew his whistle a lot.

Cant say the Coolbinia Ump was terrible when we played them last as I cant remember having any issues, which generally means the ump did a good job.

I can however remember that the young Noranda ump did an exceptional job and was very impressed with how he controlled the game, particularly at such a young age.

On another note, I would like some feedback from teams that have played Swan districts recently for a second time, has the team changed dramatically? Im just curious to know how a team goes from belting other teams by 100+ points week in week out, to losing two on the trot??

As I said earlier we beat Swans last weekend. Like all e grade dies it was different from the first time we played them, but a lot of familiar faces in their side. The main difference from our rd 3 loss was how we closed them down and gave them no space particularly in the centre. It was not an easy game but the whole team worked together and got it done. Every side is beatable with the right attitude and concentration for a whole game.

Looks like there has been another forfeit in E1 today by Coolbinia coming up against Rossmoyne. Can't help but wonder if taking the 89 point loss a forfeit offers against the ladder leaders is a good way of protecting percentage in the battle for a finals place in this grade. Before the insults start being hurled my way consider this seasons results/losing margins so far and it kind of makes sense. Would also be a good way to ensure Rossmoyne lose a bit of touch & fitness before finals arrive if other teams follow suit for the rest of the home & away. More than one way to skin a cat as they say. Can't imagine it will happen, then again maybe it already is!!!!

OK I will bite at this one. Our C grade side is probably missing at least 10 of there first picked players due to injury, the E grade side had 6 missing from their regular side PLUS the ones that had to go up to cover the loses above them. The boys were very disappointed to not be able to field a team even though we probably would have been flogged. Take from this what you will but let me just say percentage had nothing to do with the forfeit.

I think Brentwood E1 forfeited against Rossmoyne a couple of weeks ago. It was genuine and we barely scraped together a reserves side that day as well with injuries and holidays killing the numbers. Probably got 25-30 unavailable this week again across all grades, which I dont expect is unusual this time of year.

A real shame for Rossmoyne though having a couple in a row it would be very disruptive. Perhaps a bigger incentive to get a second team on the park and move up to the C grades? From discussions I've had with people down there they seem very content with 1 side only which unfortunately means you do leave the door open to this kind of thing.

Rossmoyne have West Coast Cowan this week who had to forfeit 2 weeks back. If WCC were to forfeit Rossmoyne will have their 3rd 'bye' on the trot.

I feel for sides like Brentwood and WCC. If you have to forfeit so be it, its not without trying to field a team and when you get to the end of a year it gets tougher and tougher.

I also sort of feel for Rossmoyne, but as said, how about they try and field a second side then be content with pumping 3rd teams.

But the big fault lies with the league!

If the grades were fair and had all the one team clubs in the same e grade then Rossmoyne would have a game every week.

Personally I hope Rossmoyne are getting fat and unfit, it might give us Roo Boys a chance come finals. ;)

Hopefully we can replicate Quinns and knock off Districts on the weekend which will be hard as we lost a few key players to injury in a hard game against Ocean Ridge on the weekend.

Goodluck to everyone fielding a side.

Yep, even harder to get a team together with 30goal floggings on the cards at end of season. Will Rossmoyne become a victim of their own "success" if the forfeits continue???

Have to agree with you there dirty weekender.
winning a premiership is all well and good but when you're beating clubs 3rd,4th and even 5th side have you really earned it?
Would love to know if behind the scenes they are actually doing anything towards getting a second side on the park in the future as they'll have a challenge remaining sustainable when teams struggling in the lower grades simply don't rock up to play them.
