Anyone know the result between Ridge and Noranda? We lost to the prison team by 5 goals. Had our chances and it was really a bad 2nd quarter in which we lost 6 goals to 1 that got us but glad we have improved and look forward to another crack at them without their umpire in finals.

Didn't see the game but heard Noranda got up by a couple of goals

Interesting you should mention the prison teams umpire, probably one of the worst umpires I've seen in over 10 years of playing amateur footy. The bias in his umpiring when we knocked them off 2 weeks ago was appalling, if we do meet them in the finals I'm glad we won't have to deal with him.

I went and watched swans v wanneroo and found both umpires ok both missed obvious free kicks but I wouldn't say they were a 5 goal difference but what will b interesting will b next year when the waafl is trialling where u don't umpire ur club. Both sides made poor decisions onfield

Highpants he is a joke and I actually said to him after the game I'm glad he doesn't umpire finals.

South, he only paid 2 free kicks all day for us! They were the most obvious kicks too. He is a massive sword who actually sucks up the ass of these guys, plus he talks to there players like they are best buds, lets them complain to him but when our players question a decision he threatens them with a card! He is an absolute muppet.

Yeah we were off with our skills. 2.5 we led to 2.1 at quarter time.

In the second we dropped off with our man on man and a few bad umpires decisions they kick 6.3 to 1.2

In the third we kicked the first 4 goals to get the margin to a point, they then kicked the next 3 and undid most of our good work.

In the last we got the margin back to 14, we then hit the post twice, one on the full and kick two more points. They go down and kick the final two goals. Game Over

We played ok, but know we can beat them we just need to play a bit better and not have their umpire.
With Noranda beating Ridge it's looking like we MIGHT finish 3rd and get first crack at them in finals.
Would love to see them go in straights!

Endorphn I sat close to ur bench I heard that u say to ur bench that he paid only two freekicks to u all day but I counted three in last quarter both umpires were average yesterday I see u make no mention that ur umpire missed three kicks to u guys in last quarter for chopping on the arms, the swans fullback will struggle in finals but ur umpire missed them.What I saw yesterday was 2 sides who r lucky to b in the position they r in. Neither one will make the grand final as they whinge too much to get the ball. I came down to watch a quality game but what I saw was a joke and it had nothing to do with the umpiring. I suspect both sides to go out early in finals

If you want to watch quality our league side were playing at the same time and are undefeated.

We do our best with what we have. If we do or don't make the grand final so be it but we are not lucky to be third on the ladder, we have beaten everyone below us so I don't understand how we are lucky.

I sincerely hope a thirds side takes out the grade. I obviously hope it is us but to the other two Thirds sides that make finals I hope one of us takes the flag!

I have been following results this year and as i was in the area I thought it would be a good game to watch. I noticed that you still didnt acknowledge that your umpire missed three chopping of the arms by the swans full back in the last quarter which would have been 3 goals for you. I did find it funny that your umpire cost you 3 goals and you shook his hand but refused to shake the swans umpires hand. Great sportsmanship by a coach who is meant to lead by example. Another thing that amused me by your post is that you decided to report on fiction and emotion rather than fact. Going on about only 2 kicks the swans umpired gave you when in FACT he paid 3 in the last 5 mins to your team - all holding the ball and two happened to be in their forward line. ( counted by me) dont know the count prior to that. Having played over 200 games of WAAFL football - I have seen bad umpiring and what I witnessed on the weekend wasnt even close to being bad - average yes bad no. If its true that he is part of the WAAFL then some of you on here have a nervous few weeks coming up - as you may wish to read by By-law 32. As a life member of WAAFL I was appalled by the sportsmanship of some players from both teams and i thought the object was to get the ball not whinge the most to get a freekick.

Should have come down to the kennel Southside Punter - close match all night (can't say it was particularly high quality in all aspects, especially my own goal kicking). Some would argue I was the difference though, my 4 shots resulted in 2 behinds and we won by a solitary point.
