One further point I will make following on from the WA state election, Morrison continues to be tone deaf with respect to his responses to the claims of sexual abuse and violence against women.  After question time in the House of Reps today, Albanese moved a motion to suspend standing orders to allow a debate on this.  After a few minutes of speaking Dutton moved that he no longer be heard.  An absolutely despicable and gutless action especially in the context of how many times Abbott moved similar motions and not once to my knowledge was he gagged by the Labor government.
42 the longer the marketing bloke is in public office the more apparent it becomes how much of a deadset flog of a bloke he is!
Although he would probably have to consult Jenny to get confirmation!
Morrison should have attended the rally outside Parliament House today.  The fact he didn't reflects poorly on him.  Just another example of poor judgment and lacking political courage.  He should have visited WA during our election campaign.

Who can remember Gough Whitlam attending an angry farmers' rally at Forrest Place in Perth in, from memory, 1974?  These examples and Morrison's Hawaii holiday during the bushfires accumulate when it comes to negative feelings toward Morrison.
Did Albo, Chalmers, Plibersek, Wong etc... attend?

Yep they were all there but the really interesting absentee was Bill Shorten, wonder why.

Not sure you would wonder it would be like me turning up to play Roger Federer, they would be embarrassed and probably ridiculed out of the state, it would be another Don Scott episode!

I believe most, if not all, of the Labor leadership were present at the rally yesterday.

We have preferential voting in Western Australia.  It is a complete nonsense to complain about Greens preferences flowing to Labor candidates.   Where did DLP preferences go in previous elections in Australia?

From the latest figures it looks like Labor will have 51 of 59 seats.  A stunning result by any measure.

Fair enough, come up with some sensible policies and keep your distance from the Greens and you should win the next election. I haven't heard your party make much noise about the paltry $50 per/f increase to Jobseeker. That's a no brainer right there staring you right in the face where Labor can be a point of difference. Increase Jobseeker by significantly more to help address poverty and homelessness. Not everyone who doesn't have a job is a bludger or chooses that life. Stand up and make a meaningful difference.

I don't believe that a federal election has been called as yet,  When it is I expect that Labor will put forward ideas that, in the main, I support including a meaningful increase in unemployment benefits.

Apart from candidates that achieve 50% + 1 vote require distribution of preferences to be elected.  It is patent nonsense to single out that Labor candidates are being elected from Green preferences.  That is how preferential voting works.

Oh dear...even after all that time when you were in self exile some things still never change.  By my read, Bazza was just making an observation on what is happening in the vote count and not complaining, inferring or criticising anything.
