I see sneakers power has gone to his head, or is it the case that there wasnt a left faction member he could trust with the treasury job, as hes made himself treasurer and premier , when was the last time that happened 1979 under Sir Charles Court?

Pelican neck is the new speaker and Pap "I love myself" alia is the new Police minister.

Not much of a refresh when you leave a half tanked fossil like McTiernan in cabinet, one wonders just how much gravy one person can get, but then I guess shes an amatuer compared to the Beasley Family.
Good to see that you have taken the election result well.

Breaking news: according to a person on Sky News (Australia) this evening there are only 2 coalition members in the lower house and 4 coalition members in the upper house in the aftermath of the election.  With one seat in doubt.

To put it in perspective she said that Kirkup would win Dawesville and yes, she is domiciled in Western Australian.

You love saying domiciled 42. Love it!
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Absolutely disgraceful that WA has lost a Federal seat , to make matter worse its being moved to Victoria.

WA the power house economy of the country and we get less and less representation in Canberra at the expense of a state that is a financial dead weight with a massive negative trade deficit.

More and more reason for WA to go it alone.

As a matter of curiosity what criterion or criteria is used to determine the number of House of Reps seats there are in each state?  Similar question with respect to the number of Senators for each state?

Reading the article on the ABC it seems that Voters is the driver, from Wikipedia - The  (AEC) determines the number of members of the House of Representatives to which each state and territory is entitled (called apportionment) and the boundaries of each electorate, in a process known as redistribution. Such apportionment and redistributions apply to the next federal election, but not to any by-elections. The last apportionment determination was made in July 2020, and the resulting redistribution is to take place during 2021, in time for the next federal election, due by 2022.Within each state and territory, electoral boundaries are redrawn from time to time. This takes place at least once every 7 years, or when the state's entitlement to the number of members of the House of Representatives changes. Boundaries are drawn by a Redistribution Committee, and redistributions within a state are on the basis of the number of enrolled voters, rather than total residents or "population". The number of enrolled voters in each division cannot vary by more than 10% from the average across a state or territory, nor can the number of voters vary by more than 3.5% from the average projected enrolment 3.5 years into the future. However, due to various reasons, larger seats like Cowper in NSW contain 80% more electors than that of smaller seats like Solomon in the  N T. In 2018, seats in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia were also abolished, in order to make way for seats in similar locations but with different names. At the 2019 election, based on the 2018 apportionment, there were 151 divisions: 47 in New South Wales, 38 in Victoria, 30 in Queensland, 16 in Western Australia, 10 in South Australia, 5 in Tasmania, 3 in the ACT and 2 in Northern Territory.

Yes, is not the best of news to be hearing.                                                                                                        It all reverts back to the population distribution, and that's why it happened. And apparently the Northern Territory has also lost one.

According to Antony Green counting of all the remaining votes in Churchlands started at 2pm our time today.  I would expect the final figures to be available in the next couple of hours.  The formal distribution of preferences to occur on Monday and of course depending on the final margin a recount is possible.
