What is Ben Wyatt doing Swannie? First it was leaving due to family, then Covid hit and he did the honourable thing and stayed on for the duration, then it was said in the media he had a job lined up at Mineral Resources but the most recent report said he could be headed for Canberra. That would be a smart move by the Labor Party, he would be a huge asset but that would fly in the face of his original reasons for quitting politics and going into federal politics would keep him further away from his family.

I told you at the time the old family line stuff was BS. He would have a gig lined up for sure.

The word is McGowan pissed off he pulled the pin early on him, they both had a agreement to pull the pin at the same time, McGowan has some big plans in the Corporate world apparently and they were going to ride off together,

Why did Tinley get the arse from Cabinet? Seemed to be a decent bloke,

Toni Buti should be the AG, a Law Proffesor in Equities and Trusts he has a lot more clues than that nut job Quigley.

Let me point out that I have no official capacity to speak for the Labor Party.  Based on the reported reason Wyatt was quitting state politics to spend more time with his kids that would seem to be at odds with the suggestion that he would move into federal politics.

However, if he were to stand for Swan he would be a very strong chance to win that seat for Labor.
As it's been reported just today that the incumbent in the seat of Swan Ken Wyatt might retire and be the next GG.

Yeah I could see that happening, ticks all the PC boxes, although the left would never be happy simply as he is a liberal.

Then again the Libs have set the pace in Aboriginal representation in Parliament with Neville Bonner the first ever Senator and Whyatt.in the House of Reps.

And of course they also got the 1967 Ref up.

Antony Green has called Nedlands for Labor.  Churchlands is the last seat to be decided.  The Libs lead by 31 votes.   At the 2017 election it was Liberals 63.22% to 36.78% 2PP.

Toot toot. Just revving the engine. Looks like the bus has a few stops to make in the leafy western suburbs.

Liberals holding only one seat in the metro area is an astonishing result.

I see sneakers power has gone to his head, or is it the case that there wasnt a left faction member he could trust with the treasury job, as hes made himself treasurer and premier , when was the last time that happened 1979 under Sir Charles Court?

Pelican neck is the new speaker and Pap "I love myself" alia is the new Police minister.

Not much of a refresh when you leave a half tanked fossil like McTiernan in cabinet, one wonders just how much gravy one person can get, but then I guess shes an amatuer compared to the Beasley Family.
