Who could have possibly predicted that not locking down early would be effective in containing the community spread? 

While Sydney siders deserve the criticism especially those Bondi upper middleclass bogans, lets not forget they do the heavy lifting when it comes to taking in Australians returning from overseas. They were taking 3010 international arrivals per week up until the 14th of July and that has been halved to 1505. I think our govt takes only about 250 per week which is pretty pathetic compared to Sydney and other states yet Mark gets the pats on the back.

Her Clayton's lockdown, championed by many of the Sky News Australia commentators, is why NSW is in the position it is currently in and will result in a far more extended lockdown than if she had announced a hard lockdown much earlier.  She and her government should stop listening to the advice of the Sky News Australia commentators like Paul Murray et al.

No amount of misdirection and obfuscation is going to ameliorate the appalling decision by the NSW government not to have a hard lockdown earlier.  What the NSW government did was to ensure that more and more community spread occurred that would not have occurred if there had been a hard lockdown earlier.

So therefore you must agree that McGowan was at fault not putting hard restrictions on people returning from Sydney when the Delta variant was spreading? he didn't enforce 14 days self isolation until that woman returned a positive test from her jaunt in Sydney and Bondi. Or are you just going to reply with some garbage like I still haven't got over the election result as your reason for excusing your party's leader for every cock up?
