The info coming out of the national cabinet meeting is sounding very similar to Singapore's approach. Lockdowns are unsustainable every time there's few cases. Will look forward to seeing more details of the cabinet decision but it's centred around getting mass vax done as soon as possible. Good to hear that now being given the choice, the 40-60 age group have come out in big numbers to book in to get the AZ jab, rightly putting aside the scare mongering by some re the AZ jab. More chance of being killed or injured on the road or being hit by lightning.

The important issues they usually report on like Nat Fyfe’s haircut and what Nic Nat had for breakfast

Someone needs to let McGoo know about that.

I couldn't believe it when I asked someone about a month ago who works in Aged Care if she was vaccinated and she said no. I then asked isn't it compulsory for Aged Care workers? No. She then said I'm not sure about it I'm scared. I think that is quite typical of the problem we find ourselves in.

Yet it was the Prime Minister and others that were telling us in the early stages of this pandemic that the elderly in Aged Care were the top priority because they were the most vulnerable.

So why the fuck weren't Aged Care workers told no jab no job right from the start?

I actually spoke to an anti-vax aged care worker who was of course un vaccinated, and the imbecile was adamant she would not get the jab under any circumstances.

Yep lockdowns are getting past their use by but look at Gladdie and her delaying the lockdown in Sydney, I think we are damned if we do and even more damned when we don't!

I suspect the Singapore information needs to be predicated with the notion that their population does what it is told when it is told compared to here (not so much in Perth) where folk just don't follow the simple instructions abt tagging, mask wearing etc.

I understand the economic effects through my son in law and 2 nephews but they understand the need but get really pissed at the lack of support.

I liked how you could sit with people in the pub yesterday without a mask but have to wear one going for a walk in fresh air by yourself, no wonder people are starting to pay no attention to political tripe

When I go to the shops, I hang my mask around my neck till I get inside.  Yesterday and today, I forgot to pull it on when I went into a couple of shops.  No one looked and no one said anything.  When I apologised to one of the young girls on the till, she said “that’s ok, I never noticed it”.  So yes, people are starting to pay no attention to it.
