11 teams in a comp Called something like the BHP Cup.
9 teams in the comp Called The WAFL

11 teams playing the other 10 twice for 20 games each club.

The WAFL clubs would be playing 16 WAFL games (two each against the other 8 WAFL clubs) and 4 BHP cup games.
The Eagles and Dockers would be playing 20 BHP cup games.

The winner of the WAFL (top 5 final series) gets the prestige.

The winner of the BHP cup (who's on top at the end of the season) get some good coin.

WAFL clubs would end up playing reserves teams against the AFL teams if the points don't matter

No the prise money for being on top at the end of the home and away season would be incentive.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Swan42 what worked for you the last time?

My idea keeps the Eagles and Dockers out of the WAFL and them away from traditional WAFL teams. I don't know why people can't see it.

They will be playing against us in a separate competition!

p

Half way through the season and a strong Subi have it wrapped up...what happens then? I assume the bottom six clubs would concentrate on achieving WAFL finals at that stage

1982 in the Escort Cup after beating Collingwood we were scheduled to play Richmond. The VFL changed the date of the fixture and Swans said unless you chnge it back we will send over a reserves' team. They didn't and we sent over a reserves' team. We won the 1982 WAFL GF.

The G7 held them out before. I hope they have the balls to do it again. Send the players back to the local WAFL Club like last time. Eastern state recruits can go into a reverse draft.
Let them in and they will dictate the terms of the comp and the spineless jelly fish at HQ will sway there way
