chaddy: I have always acceptted that it is the quality of the AFL players in the two sides which is the key to how Peel and EP go in the competition. Like I said above, Peel should not be in the finals as they won at least two games by less than a kick -- notably EF kicking 9.17 to lose on one occasion. Even so, I would still prefer to see a restriction on the numbers able to play in any one side so as to ensure that the local EP and Peel players have a presence in the side.

Must piss off your up and coming Colts players that $ubiaco look outside the club to fill voids

gtrxuone: I think your right about the PFC: they have certainlly been divided over the years, a situation which has complicatted matters on the field. Similar to most of the PFC chaps on here, I think Spalding has the presence to attract players and keep the club unified. Where I differ with them is that in the longer run, the club must move to the WACA to survive long-term. From my readding, the lease is only twenty years, and I cannot see the council, the Eagles or the Commission agreeing to it being renewed.

For those whom doubt me a wee bit, keep in mind the eagles have basically taken over the place in the last eighteen months, and, making a few concessions to the PFC in the short-run was the price they had to pay.

The WACA it is then.

Grassy an AFL reserves side is not going to happen for a while. Especially now with the formation of the Women's League.

They have to Convince Aiden, that we Can Guarantee him Finals Action.

Over to you PFC Board and Marty.

to be perfectly honest grassy I'd prefer Subi to develop from within rather than recruit someone like Troppo. we currently have Bogensperger, Walters and co running around in the twos who have a lot of upside. I'm not sure if Troppo contacted Subi or vice versa but let's look in our own backyard first.

Don't know if he has a Manager or not,but being a Marquee player at Perth(in my eyes anyway),I believe he would have a Manager getting in his ear.Even if he doesn't,why do his recent statements sound like a script written by a Manager?

I'm sure he's his own man,but come on Aiden. We have faith in you mate. With you at Lathlain,we are a better chance to play Finals Footy. We'd like you to be part of the great times returning to the Demons! ;)

There is definitely room in our salary cap and points for him to come to Subi, with Kitch possibly leaving at the end of this season he would be the perfect replacement. As we've seen in the past players have taken smaller offers to come to Subi with the hope of playing finals and being in the spotlight for AFL recruiters. But as BC said, I would rather us work with what we've got than recruit.

Sure you would,Muriel!

;)

I don't think there's much chance Kitch is going anywhere, he's just set up a business here. He has restored a vintage caravan and converted it into a mobile bar to hire out for weddings and functions, it's called The Handsome Stranger.

And the word is some big names coming to Perth. Hopefully Marty is in Troppy's ear about the latest developments and he sees success coming for Perth next year and beyond.

Hope these big names come to fruition.

Hopefully we can get 3-5 of our own back this off season and possible get the back up ruckman and key back we need and possibly a key forward this of season as well as being able to blood some of our promising younger players next season. Recruiting is all well and good but you have to keep blooding the youth which we have done over the last 18 months.

Seriously... I'd like to see the heading of this topic changed.
From becoming to became. Just thinking aloud of that being a good descriptive.
