Wish it would happen next year so we could stop having to read all the old timers bullshit about how unfair it is.Get sick of it.
Their clubs could have given the two AFL clubs stand alone sides , but chose not to.
Fair dinkum it is like reading a grand childs book.... The wheels on the bus go round and round.. etc etc etc.You know the story.
Even they must get sick of saying it.

I was for them having two stand alone teams with Fremantle taking over Peel and Peel's zone getting redistributed.

As I said the other day, a larger share of their zone would go to the weakest team over the last 20 years while the most successful team over the last 20 years would get the smallest share.

The money they WAFC are putting into Peel could then be evenly distributed amongst the eight original clubs and there would also be no bye.

Will never happen Mr AFL as then fools like Grunt Duddington would have to admit they got it completely wrong by pushing peel to enter the WAFL in the first place, that is why they are very keen on the alignment to see some fake success heading to Fremantle/Mandurah.
Just watching Duddington and his fellow duds from the WAFC at Freo last week patting themselves on the back was cringeworthy  these are the same flops that have overseen the WAFL attendances reaching record lows not seen since 1941 ..well done you lot of failures!

Over to you PFC Board and Marty.

to be perfectly honest grassy I'd prefer Subi to develop from within rather than recruit someone like Troppo. we currently have Bogensperger, Walters and co running around in the twos who have a lot of upside. I'm not sure if Troppo contacted Subi or vice versa but let's look in our own backyard first.

Don't know if he has a Manager or not,but being a Marquee player at Perth(in my eyes anyway),I believe he would have a Manager getting in his ear.Even if he doesn't,why do his recent statements sound like a script written by a Manager?

I'm sure he's his own man,but come on Aiden. We have faith in you mate. With you at Lathlain,we are a better chance to play Finals Footy. We'd like you to be part of the great times returning to the Demons! ;)

There is definitely room in our salary cap and points for him to come to Subi, with Kitch possibly leaving at the end of this season he would be the perfect replacement. As we've seen in the past players have taken smaller offers to come to Subi with the hope of playing finals and being in the spotlight for AFL recruiters. But as BC said, I would rather us work with what we've got than recruit.

Sure you would,Muriel!

;)

I don't think there's much chance Kitch is going anywhere, he's just set up a business here. He has restored a vintage caravan and converted it into a mobile bar to hire out for weddings and functions, it's called The Handsome Stranger.

You would think he might be tempted to diversify into catering given the obvious marketing potential of his name. :silly:

Like I said above, Peel should not be in the finals as they won at least two games by less than a kick -- notably EF kicking 9.17 to lose on one occasion. Even so, I would still prefer to see a restriction on the numbers able to play in any one side so as to ensure that the local EP and Peel players have a presence in the side.

It would only work when the afl club hasn't make the the afl finals.I am sure there are a few dockers who played the bare minimum 5 games.Unfortunately when the eagles and dockers are in the finals they wouldn't be happy if some of their players couldn't play wafl if they had played the minimum 5 games.

Too many small minded people who think that afl players belong to their club and play for their club if not playing afl.The two afl clubs wanted stand alone teams.
The Sanfl have got it right Port Adelaide have taken over Port Adelaide magpies who have had their zones made smaller and the Crows have only a league team and have top up players from other leagues. We just need to learn from them it is possible. We can go forward but not if we are looking backward.

You mean the WAFC,Ark?!

The measuring stick in Victoria is the VFA or VFL,but right now,I ain't too concerned about them.

the wafc didn't even exist in 1985, remember it was the WAFL council of presidents that voted to join the VFL.

I stand corrected but the only club to vote against both WCE in 86 and Freo in 94 entering the VFL was Swans, led by our great President Bill Walker, South the only other to vote against WCE but not Freo
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Hoping we can get a couple of key position players but there's also room for some colts kids to play next season. Have to keep the kids coming through.

Grassy wrote: Sure you can go forward.Sure they're the AFL Clubs' Players.

But we can all go forward if they move the 2 Reserves Teams to the VFL.

If they Refuse, then No one will go Forward, except the AFL of course.

West Coast and Fremantle are here for no other reason than to drive a Wedge through the Competition and of course a Wrecking Ball.

The 2 Clubs made the Laughable promise that they'd increase exposure and Interest in the WAFL.They have barely offered a peep since, attendances have gone through the Floor and increase in memberships have been minimal.

Having the 2 Clubs here in their own right will make things Worse Chaddy, not better and you darn well know if!

It is up to at least 7 WAFL Clubs to stand up for the Competion and Say enough, but knowing the WAFC,they'll play their usual games of Divide and Conquet and the BS Status Quo remains!

The AFL Clubs know full well, they can afford to send a Reserves Team East, but they gave us a Poor man routine, knowing all along, they could get Travel and Accommodation Concessions if they jumped up and down enough, which they do anyway, which they got.

See Coach Simpson looking nice and cosy lately,Chaddy?

And furthermore, another part of that Poor man routine, saying they can't afford to send their Reserves over, was how quick and how high they jumped up and down for a Women's Team. Fancy that and even then, they both would have enough left over for a third team.

You might think things are Hunky Dorey in South Australia,Chaddy. But according to Chris McDermott(ex Crow),the alarm bells of falling attendances are Ringing already!

Does the REAL Port Adelaide exist anymore? Not likely,no thanks to that Grandstanding, attention seeker Kochy.Well done Pal,in killing a South AUSTRALIAN Institution!

I mean seriously Chaddy,if you want to barrack for the Eagles and Dockers mate, fine! But can't you see the Damage they are doing to the WAFL On and Off The Field? :woohoo:

They gave to GO(East in the Reserves)As Soon as Possible!

If they do end up having afl reserves sides do you think wafl attendences will go up.secondly if all afl players who currently are playing in the wafl go to another competition we won't get any coverage. If the eagles and dockers had their own stand alone teams at least we will get some publicity for the comp.
