Realise it's still along way off. Darren Harris apparently is to be the coach.
Schofield has declined for various reasons. Bill Monaghan would have been an excellent replacement, but he too cannot from what we hear.
Hope the Tasmanians are not taken too lightly! Even though the match is at Bassendean and WA have the home ground advantage.

The Tasmanians should feel right at home at Basso.

From what I saw, they play a pretty good brand of footy in Tassie.

Good choice to stay with Harris given the two GF coaches have declined. He coached the state team to victory against the Crow-eaters last year, he's a proven premiership coach so quite happy with the appointment. SA use an independent coach as well so they can give the full commitment to the state team with fewer distractions.

Lets hope something is done about the scoreboard situation at Bogundean before the state game, would be a massive embarrassment for the state and the WAFL if it's not replaced with something reasonable. Apart from that, quite happy with the game up there as its just up the road from Baysie.

hahhaha...Harding didn't even get an invite. one look at that rabble from Bogandean and I wouldn't get him to coach an AusKick team.

Apparently the WA squad will be announced after a final selection meeting late next week. The team selection will be influenced by the Wafl fixturing, whereby some teams are playing on the Foundation Day. Which is just five days out from the State clash.
