I suspect the only contribution Swan Districts will make to the State game will be the venue.

TOSG apparently our scoreboard will be more reliable than the one that currently intermittently works at Leederville. Looking at a blank screen when one is trying to check the score is not a good look.

I suspect that we may have 2-3 players DW primarily because in the infinite wisdom of the WAFC there are three matches played 5 days before the state game.

That's been an ongoing problem when EP are running the scoreboard, I can't remember it failing at a Subiaco home game, but it stopped working when we played them when it was their home game. Must be their hookup that's faulty.

No human error involved, but the blinkin' thing went on the blink a couple of times when PERTH was there.

I was there and didn't see it go out

There should be richness of midfielders available but looks like the No1 bonafide Ruckman possie will be Johnson's unless Andrews or Higgins get the nod

Shame Keunen is out really

Forwards-wise we'll probably have a few to pick from as well , same for the backs - could be that Josh Pullman gets his first gig as a backman haha he's been a revelation down there for us

Understand we have a few that will be considered but realistically are any of those named by you ahead of those from other clubs at the moment formwise. Hard to gauge when we are travelling the way we are right now at SD

With Harris mate , it seems he has a simple creed of selecting horses for courses , players who lift for the occasion

It's why Ames will be in the squad I think - so will Jetta & Notte

At the moment I reckon G.Jetta and Notte will be the only SD players selected, Riggs might be a roughy and Amesy hasn't had his best year so will probably miss out but always having a red hot go

Yeah but Amesy is deadset 101% reliable & will marshall the backs a bit like a coach

Yep he bleeds black and white and Black and gold too, the WA midfield will be a tough unit to get in to as well with a lot of suitors and on the expanses of Basso we should wipe the floor with them really
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Would love to see another rock solid, ever reliable and versatile player to get another state game in Justin Simpson - big tank, strong hands, calm under pressure, strong tackler, can play back or forward, ripper bloke

Simmo would be in a pack of about 10 guys fighting for 2 or maybe 3 spots of the swingman role

A good game aginst us this week will put him right up there you'd think though mate

Fair bit could depend on who is named for Tassie - Harris does his homework on that sort of stuff

From Perth I would think the following would be under strong contention.
Angus Graham - though I'm concerned about his work load. He's playing a lone hand basically in the ruck and spending time forward.
Jared Bell - without a doubt our best and most reliable defender, rarely beaten.
Brent Latch - turning into a good key defender just behind Bell.
Aiden Tropiano - quiet start to the season hampered by an injury in the first game but back to his best on Saturday.
Liam McKenna - fairly consistent but I don't think quite there yet.
Clint Jones - for obvious reasons I think he will get picked, work rate outstanding and starting to show leadership at Perth now he's settled in. Getting big numbers but disposal efficiency by foot let's him down.
Julian Jacobs - outstanding season to date and probably our best and most consistent player so far this season. Probably the fittest player running around in the WAFL.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

In all honesty DD is Julian Jacobs fitter than Clint Jones???

Would expect these Subi players to be under consideration:
Horsley - super consistent, rarely under 25 disposals hits his targets and prime contender as skipper
Delahunty - in stellar form always up against bigger tap ruckmen but dominates around the ground.
Wheeler - As above plus regularly in the goal kickers, can play key back, key forward or pinch hit in the ruck.
Phelan - Another big possession winner big body and elite by foot.
Kitchen - had a couple of quiet games recently, smart footballer great at stoppages and super fit.
Cockie - one of the strongest bodies in the comp, brutal at the stoppages and clearences and elite by foot.
Heal - has massively stepped up as tall defender in the absence of Lockyer, great mark, good at ground level, rarely beaten.
Shepherd - Imposing at FF has worked into good form recently has pace for a big man and a good mark and kick currently equal top goal scorer in the comp with Peake who would be first pick small forward.
