STD here’s a really easy question for you. How many clubs have won a flag since 1980?

I did...

And a few EP supporters will disagree with you. Whether you liked the alignment or not they’ve got 3 and very unlucky in ‘96 too.

You just keep blaming the WAFC, your zone, SES etc. Don’t listen to feedback from clubs in your district or your own board member even about how little PFC gets involved with their talent pathway. It’s worked so well for you for the last 40 years.

Instead just keep hoping that the WAFC feels sorry for and gives you a disproportionately bigger zone to draw from which you’ll continue to do nothing with but expect a better result from.

Re EP you asked me who had won them not who ‘got close’ and I doubt they would seriously claim the 2 alignment flags or the one after which was really an alignment flag but I don’t want the argument to go down that rabbit hole.

So I revise my answer:

PFC!!

Now, your point??

And remember, I know you don’t actually know this , but PFC zone much worse than anyone else’s and also it is not good enough that:

BETWEEN US,SINCE 1991, PFC SDFC AND EPFC HAVE WON 2 FLAGS (IF WE COUNT 2002). THAT IS 2 TWO 2. JESUS H FUVKING CHRIST DO YOU NOT GET IT??

2 2 2 2 2 2!!! Two miserly flags for all the blood sweat and tears spilt. I used to know Joe Barbaro At EP, just a top top bloke. I’m glad he got a flag actually.

Do you know Joe TT?

Or Arthur Ransted at PFC?

Be fair, be nice, be honest.
Never met those two gentleman.

Your co-tenants haven’t won one either and EP will definitely be claiming their flags.

Since Perth’s last flag in 77:
C 8
EF 4
EP 4
Peel 2
S 10
SF 5
SD 5
WP 4

Everyone, including your non-coastal eastern suburbs neighbours, with the same issues in their zones have all had a pretty even lick of the icecream.

What year did metro zones come in?

You can subtract 2 from Peel's total and add 2 to Subiaco's total.

WAFL League performance? This commenced with you losing your mind over your colts loss to SD!

In short, socioeconomic factors influence outcomes such as participation levels etc.

Longer answer is why has Perth been so poor for so long when other clubs with the same issues in their zones have performed much better? Why has Perth, who had the the third highest number of participants of any zone in 2009, not seen the talent flow into senior football at Perth FC when other clubs have.

If SES was such a big influence on sporting ability then why doesn’t Claremont win every League premiership? Surely it’d easy, we’d just select Christchurch’s 1st XVIII to play league every week. You could select Aquinas’s 1st XVIII. Maybe we shouldn’t even pick footballers, just see whose parents earn the most and select them.

Why don’t we? Because income might buy a new pair of boots, a better education and a gym membership but it can’t buy talent.

What year did zones commence? You said it was an easy question to answer? Or are you just full of yourself trying to make yourself feel better because you want to think you know more than others?
As has been mentioned previously the percentage of students attending Aquinas College or Trinity College who are residentially bound to Perth would be far lower than the percentage of students attending the three PSA colleges in the Claremont zone who are residentially bound to Claremont.  It is particularly disingenuous to omit the 40-45 footy teams playing for the three PSA colleges in the Claremont zone when discussing the number of junior teams located there.

Come on TT...considering premierships are like hens  teeth for certain clubs since 1977, pretty sure EF have won 5 flags not 4...(79, 85 92 94 98)..since it's hard enough for some clubs, one in particular, to even win one during that time, let's not go missing them from another clubs, one in particular, hard earned flag success.

Come end of the day, it's pretty obvious, if any of our supported WAFL clubs  had Cl colts success, we wouldn't be sharing the wealth, we would be steadfast in the belief that this success had been hard earned by our clubs productive engagement junior development work, like TT has indicated....call it mean , but hey that's life I guess, not fair, but life sadly.

I think the point is that while people accept that Perh metro zone might be poorer than others (might even be the worst) Pfc should  do (and its supporters should demand the club’s assurances that it has done) everything to squeeze the last drop juice out of that zone before they demand the rest of the footy community give up zones (Which may or may not fix Perth’s problem especially if (and I don’t know) Perth’s engagement is part of the problem).
id like to think some clubs would give up know how if it meant keeping their zones.
Know how would have been easier to share when the talent  pathways were run centrally but the WAFL clubs got that dismantled.

As I have said above, colts football is  flukey, Subi winning the flag with so few teams on paper. We won our first colts flag in 1989; even in that year EP was favourite, but got out played in the  gf.
