Yes that's pretty much how it panned out Gloede wasn't much help to anyone other than the AFL sadly but that was and still is the exact intention
fact is there is an unhealthy subservience to the Vicco league within the WAFC
somehow they have managed to pretty much kill what was a very strong base comp
not one bit surprised that there has been a divulgence (for want of better wording) of sensitive info it's been coming for a while
Two foundation clubs East Fremantle & West Perth are struggling for their very lives while bureaucrats sponge unbelievable money out of the game itself - half of them wouldn't have been to a local game

So what do you believe what $$ he is on and for how long and don't believe the bullshit about $1000 per hr to coach.
For example, I prepare for seminars etc and when paid if you divide the $$ I receive by the hrs of the presentation the the uninformed would say I get $1200 per hr which totally ignores that i have spent years gathering the knowledge and experience that enables me to deliver the content.
Is that any different to the Coach who is imparting his intellectual property to eager football students, knowledge that he has spent a lifetime acquiring.
Divide the $$ he is paid by the Hrs he has studied the subject and see if that comes out at $1000 per hr. It isn't greed.

But weren't you also getting paid during the years you spent gathering the knowledge and experience? Likewise the coach was getting paid during his formative years which suggests to me that $1000 per hour is exactly what it is...$1000 per hour.

So in your books a footballer on $500,000 per annum playing 20 games a year is earning $12,500 per hr. Gee and you think the coach is ripping off the system

Yes....that's exactly what footy players are earning although according to you the amount they earn should be pro-rated right back to when they first picked up a footy.

Why are we paying someone $1000 an hour is the question.
Are they employing John Todd, Gerard Neesham or Clarkson ?

No: the question is, for how many hrs is he paid $1000 an hr.
Put it in perspective. How many hrs went into the hrs he is paid for.
A barrister is paid $2000 an hr for the time he represents you in court. But you aren't paying him to prepare to go there.

The question still is , for how many hrs was he paid $1000 a hr.
My point is, it was a sensationalist media grab, without any context.
Now that we have established that footballers get $12,500 per hr for the time they play, what is wrong with a coach getting $1000 an hr for the hrs he coaches.

I think people are rightly pissed off that $9m in fat cat salaries and bullshit largesse is paid to produce 12 AFL draftees. That's the benchmark isn't it? Isn't that why the colts had to be ripped from the clubs, to produce more AFL products? What else does success look like to these cultural vandals and thieves at the WAFC? They certainly don't promote the WAFL as a competition in its own right. They do fk all for my local community club Hammersly-Carine. They do even less for my son's junior club.

It is indefensible to spend $9m of anyone's money, taxpayers, private, Chinese yuan phoney money, whatever on absolutely sweet fk all when we've got a state competition on its knees. That's the point.

Well said Dazz but a bigger question for me is that given 70 of the 130 staff at the WAFC were stood down due to Covid 19...what were the remaining 60 doing given there's been no footy played this year.
