The meeting yesterday was to explain how much $ is now available for the WAFL comp as they won't be receiving the grants they originally budgeted for, nothing more nothing less.
I have stated on 3 previous occasions, they worked out the $$ avaialble and divided that by how much to run each game and then presto, that is how many games we can have.
Simple Maths.
It has nothing to do with some bleeding heart releasing info to the press.

So why are they having a review ?

Because that is what professional people do. I review the performance of my group every 3 months. We adjust.
If Swans tried it , they would have realsied that doing the same thing year after year
doesn't bring success. Is this Smart's 10 year as football manager, and Hodyl and Holmes 8th in charge of the football dept.
I rest my case.

Is it unusual that when the WAFC review themselves to present that report to the commission and then the sports minister and an opposition member or is that standard procedure .

Thousands of fans would be able to attend sporting events again and limits on the numbers of people in indoor venues would be scrapped under relaxations of coronavirus rules flagged today.
Speaking after a National Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said states were working toward rules which would let stadiums capable of seating up to 40,000 people host crowds of up to 10,000
He said states and territories were on track to implement the changes in July.
The changes would apply to events like sporting matches, concerts and festivals, though venues would only be able to seat 25 per cent of their capacity.
"It would have to be a large, open area. There would need to be seats at the appropriate distance. It would need to be ticketed, so people would be able to understand who was in attendance at that event," Mr Morrison said.
"I'll be the fkng sheriff"

Football League after Football League are now announcing their new season start dates-

PSA Alcock Cup- Starts TODAY
Hills FL- June 21
Esperance FL- June 27
Peel FL- June 28
Perth FL- July 4?
NPFL- July 3
GNFL- July 11
WA AFL Masters- July 12
SWFL- July 18
NMFL- July 18
Avon FL- July 19
UGSFL- July 19
AFL- Started back Thursday June 11
SANFL- June 27 (playing scratch matches this weekend)

WAFL- Aug 1

Every other Football League in the State & Country will have long kicked off their season before the WAFL. Thanks to the complete inactivity of the $9 million men at WAFC who could have salvaged a full season by starting on the June long weekend if they had any sort of initiative, love of WAFL footy but these clowns are just the WA Division of AFL House and really are aflwa in disguise!!!

The inaction, inactivity, lack of initiative coming out of the $9 million WAFC is downright embarrassing and just not bloody good enough.
For goodness sakes Country Footy Leagues, Amateur Footy Leagues, School Comps etc are more organised than this lot and they are pretty much all run by volunteers!
They havent even come up with a revised WAFL season fixture as yet...what on earth are they/have they been doing for the last 3 months....sitting on their hands sucking football money dry that could have been utilised to have the Premier Sporting Competition in the State up and running by now?!?!?!?!

They can’t even release fixtures to the clubs as ch 7 haven’t decided broadcast arrangements, it’s a circus.
And just to make non Subi supporters unhappy, Leederville will likely host all ch7 games including neutral games so more money for them at the expense of other clubs.
I would include EP in that but they are too lazy to open their bar and food outlet
