Whilst the WAFC continue to sit on their hands and do nothing about starting the WAFL season earlier the PSA school comp has suddenly become of interest to 7/West and are now providing detailed reports of each game, goalkickers, best players etc.
Not surprisingly (except to those at WAFC HQ) there looked to be some decent crowds there to watch as well.

Does anyone know what day the sports minister is having the meeting? Or is that a big secret too?
After the recent revelations were made public, the meeting is supposed to be happening sometime this week.

Not sure what day WAG and maybe they are waiting until McGowan announces Stage 4 restrictions to be lifted sometime soon but as it stands they dont even have a revised fixture announced as yet for WAFL 2020 let alone bringing the season forward a few weeks to align with virtually every other comp in the State that is playing this year!

I think you'll find old HQ is deep in damage control mode in regards to the leak.
There was a pre-scheduled meeting with the minister took place last Wednesday, and that's all I heard.
Hoping the minister engages in a meeting this week as was stated earlier with his 'threatened' review. If nothing comes of this latest revelation, going to be bitterly disappointing!
No - haven't seen a revised 2020 fixture and my understanding is will not be available until the end of this month at the earliest.
Very sad to see the Wafl lose another opportunity and behind the eight ball again!

How many bloody 'reviews' do we have to go through at the WAFC before they finally reveal what we have known all along?
And how much are these self serving 'reviews' costing WA Football each time?

I think you can forget about the WAFL doing anything to get this going sooner.

They seem totally comatose and moribund, its almost like they don't even want it happen...

The initial Aug 1 start date was decided when there were no crowds allowed at venues and was taken into account hence that optimistic start date.
That has now all changed.
Currently up to 300 allowed in venues under strict conditions.
And that should be opened up even further in the upcoming Stage 4 restrictions lifted by July 18 which is still just over a bloody month away!

Yep brought forward 18 July.

Crowds of 2000 approved, but they want up to 10,000 for the Derby.

The 18th July being a saturday. Does that mean the start of the season bought forward a week and commence on the 25th?
