MrM wasn't in attendance and as far as I'm aware haven't found a Mrs M yet, but I do appreciate the effort Mrs Mysterious, if you look anything like Gina Rinehart, come on down to Georgetown and I'll show you what you're missing.

Have heard some stories from the weekend, but obviously cannot comment on them without being witness to said actions.
I have seen photos though, and they do not paint a pretty picture.

It will be interesting to note what comes of this, could it finally be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Kelmscott is listed as one of 11 senior clubs within the South Fremantle Football District Development Council(WAFC) jurisdiction's. Can anyone enlighten me with any information if Kelmscott FC have recieved any support from them to try to clean the bad elements out?

Torpedo wrote: Gee wizz, looks like there was some heat from Saturdays game. I didn't have the opportunity to get to the game so I'll talk to a few and see if I can get to the bottom of things. There was always lots of niggle from the Wanneroo boys and a fair bit of aggression from the local crowd (especially after the beer took effect) when we used to play Wanneroo at the Showgrounds in the old Sunday League so I wonder if any of that occurred again.

Still no excuse for red cards so I'll ask around and find out what happened to make sure that the real facts get put up here instead of gossip and rumour, although I would not dare suggest that anything Mrs Mysterious posts was gossip and rumour because I know how much trouble I would get into with Mr M!

Can confirm though that the clubs' Colts team has been withdrawn for the year which is obviously disappointing to all concerned.

For the love of the Game.

You're Kidding yourself aren't you mate? Just like the rest of the trash at Kelmscott can't take accountability for their actions. Niggle from the Waneroo boys, aggression from the crowd? How can you turn this around and on Wanneroo. The guys putting on the jumper half that trash should be in jail.

How can a president or coach of that club let that players walk around head butting players and hitting them of the ball? Pea hearted themselves. Any player caught doing any of these acts would be automatically booted from any club. No coach or president in his right mind would allow the scum to keep on playing.

The WAAFL board are to blame as well- They just let the trash keep clogging up the gutters. Cull them from the comp, skidmarks of society.

TheGreat you certainly have a way with words don't you? The club is in fact already dealing with these individuals internally on top of what punishment they receive from the league. Shutting your yap hole and letting the club deal with it as they are is probably more appropriate than shooting your mouth of here. Even better our GM has said to invite you down so you can speak with him face to face instead of running your drivel trap on here.

Care to take him up on the offer?

Same problem thats been going on for years. Always claim its been worked on internally with solutions and programs but nothing ever eventuates from it.

Creating awareness of what is going on is beneficial to all other clubs, they need to know what they're expecting from your players behind the ball. May save someones life.

As appetising as your proposition is, I wouldn't waste my valuable time, it appears all fall on deaf ears there.

Been following this thread for a while and felt it was time I found my manhood and weighed in.
As a supporter of Kelmscott I'm embarrassed.
Shane Yarran played again today in the league match and was a bloody disgrace. Every time the big fella coaching let him off the leash and out on the ground Yarran humiliated the club with filthy tactics behind the play before being sent off.. North Freo players were brutalised. Yarran isn't one to leave the ground gracefully either if you get my drift. Over the course of the afternoon a water boy copped a verbal spray, a strapper copped it and I suppose they were just thinking themselves lucky it was only verbals they copped.
The big fella coaching League looked like he had raided the op shop in fact the assorted rabble he had hanging around the coaching shelters with him looked like they had just been kicked out of Centrelink for fighting. Reserves guys made the effort in club shirts but North Freo League coaching staff must have thought they were playing against a side from a homeless shelter. Old X was sitting up on the grass away from it all. Heard he was pushed out. His boy too. As a 550 gamer at Kelmy he must need antidepressants before watching now.
So many of the local boys I know are disgusted at what's happening. Players like Yarran and assorted others bought in from all over the place and they don't give a crap about the club. They just want a game and a few bucks.
Ressies copped an absolute flogging with half of them not turning up. Didn't even score a goal. League were majorly thumped too. Love the game and seeing local boys out there but why would they want to play when they know other so called good players are getting big bucks for showing up? Local boys who don't want to be a part of what's going on at John Dunn are having trouble getting cleared.
The missus came with me this arvo to watch and she was gob smacked at what the club's become. She hasn't been to watch a KSFC home match for a few years. Don't think she'll want to be seen at another one in case it affects her job .... She works in education and has to stay respectable
I've had one of my boys finish as a junior and still have other kids in the junior club. Happily the eldest one plays for a WAFL Colts side and was advised by mates against registering at Kelmscott as a senior although I felt he should stay local and had a brilliant career as a Kelmscott junior The younger ankle biters are still in the junior club and that is completely different. Like on a different planet. The missus is on the committee and I have been in the past before work got in the way. A lovely buxom lass is the president of the juniors and she runs a bloody tight ship. She seems to care about all of our kids and is highly educated in some field I can't pronounce yet I've watched her personally drag a feral player off the ground and helped her eject parents who don't meet the behaviour code they have. Anyone too far out of line (and yeah there a few yobbos around here) gets life banned. My missus says the Pres keeps getting calls from people whinging about the senior club or digging for dirt but the Pres gives the dirt diggers nothing. She probably doesn't need to bag them out cos the seniors are digging their own grave. The secretary is a gorgeous lass too who seems to be on the ball 24/7 getting info out and takes no crap whilst loving a laugh. A tiny cute blonde lady seems to have a job advising all the managers what to do ... Think she came over from Armadale juniors because they're headed down the gurgler with only 2 youth teams Heard a comment a while ago about the Kelmy junior club being run by a pack of women but the girls have achieved record numbers and have had to turn kids away and have earned the respect of the South Freo bigwigs. Give me a club run by women any day over the schmozzle the Kelmscot Senior Club has become and thank god my boy went elsewhere with his mates ! Dunno what will happen with my next boy if he says he wants to stay local.
Sorry, rant over. As a local I had to get that off my chest .

I too decided to go down for the first time in a while to the local game at John Dunn yesterday just as FootyDad and his good lady did.

Not sure whether FootyDad and I were at the same ground. Apart from the beatings on the scoreboard, all I saw was a well organised club off-field and apart from one player mentioned by FootyDad, a disciplined and genuine group on-field.

All the basics were there. The ground had been professionally marked, the goal post pads were up, the playing surface was a dream, there were 2 water-boys in correct uniform and a scoreboard attendant all day. There were runners in uniform and all the proper equipment was out and provided to both teams, and upstairs in the social hall the new GM had the place looking terrific with heaps of old memorabilia out and the footy on the TV all day with decent bar prices.

I’m a past player of the club having played in the late 80s and early 90s and all I saw was a normal day of community football, apart from the Yarran (who now lives locally, 2 or 3 kms from the club) conduct which FootyDad correctly described.

Whilst FootyDad seems to introduce a number of other issues which sound like have come from former club disgruntles, all I saw was a pretty typical day at the footy.

I also saw and spoke to Geoff Palmer who is one of the big wigs of the WAAFL who watched the game and so I suppose if anything occurred out of order as FootyDad seems to suggest then the club would hear from the WAAFL early next week.

I am wondering whether there is more to this constant attack on Kelmscott than meets the eye.

FootyDad it’s great to hear you’ve got some boys playing juniors and enjoying themselves. I was a bit confused however. Did you have a boy playing in the Seniors yesterday?

FootyDad has it spot on. Your post wreaks of bullshit Rainmaker! My favourite part was "a disciplined and genuine group on-field". That had me in stitches.

Rain maker, i watched kelmscott play kingsway two weeks ago, where a bloke from kelmscott did his 1st of 2 headbutts in two weeks and also a high shot on a kid who could still be playing year 12 football. Reeks of a side that are a classy outfit doesnt it? In terms of the club when we were there, Kingsway who have a good following probably had around 75 supporters at the ground whilst kelmscott would have been lucky to have 15...
