General manager?? Whats his role? Hasn't seem to have had much effect to date... Gone backwards if anything. A behavioural manager is what they should be seeking first, can't control the scum that take to the field.

Is there a bigger excuse for a football club than this mob.
When are the league going to do something about this.

Looks like another forfeit from Kelmscott's colts. Is it still 3 strikes and you're out?

Hi Grassy,
Pretty sure Trev passed away a couple of years ago now.
He would have been the bloke though to get things back on track.
Good luck to whoever has put their hand up I hope they get some support.
Knight Footy is the winner!

Where is the Torpedo now.
We are 3 rounds in and this club is still a disgrace. Nothing has changed and nothing will.

From Kelmscott Football Club's Facebook page 20 April 2017:

"The club now has a new General Manager in place to oversee all things administrative and social within the club. Rob Renton has a 20 year history in hospitality and has also been involved in Amateur Football since 1992 in both a playing and administrative role with another amateur club.

Please be advised that the office hours for the club are the following.
Mon - Fri 9.30am -12.30pm Thurs 4.30-7.30pm

If you have any business with the club please feel free to contact Rob at the club on 9390 5400 or in person at the club during these times."

The position next year after 3 Colts forfeits so far this year is interesting.

Would WAAFL want to disallow this Club (or any Club) from nominating a viable Colts team next year? I don't know.

Kelmscott Junior Football Club appears (to an absolute outsider) to be a very viable, very successful organisation, with great programmes and large numbers of participants.

I would hate to see those kids disadvantaged, though it has to be said, there are plenty of other Clubs in the area which do have Colts teams.

Having two bye rounds in the currents Colts competition is not healthy either. Kids want (and need) to be able to play every week.

If Kelmscott don't have a Colts team, where do these kids go?

I believe the the colts fixtures are being reworked in that the 2 teams that were due to play both Kelmscott & Maddington will play each other (or something similar) - waafl to advise all clubs today i believe

Yes the club has a new general manager. He is working his rear off to get this club back on it's feet and back to becoming a great club again. Instead of being keyboard warriors pop on down to the club and speak to the GM. He's been here a whole 3 weeks and i think it's fair he's given time to turn things around! As for what he does it's not only the football admin side it's the rebuilding of the social club and bar for not just the club but for the whole community to enjoy. It's a full time position.

Good on Kelmscott for doing this, insteading of rolling over like other clubs have done when the going gets tough.

Out of all of this I hope it is a lesson to all clubs, spending money on players is not sustainable. Despite the fact any success you have is tarnished and you have to live the fact you're a cheat, and anyone in that team is a cheat, but your club will not sustain it. Word is a current A grade club who has been spending big has a mountain of debt (10s of thousands) and the committee continue to turn their nose at it and spend big on players.
