Unfortunately too many people care what too many others think.
Glenice Smith, sentiment is built up over time and can be hard to dispell.
You can only do your best and continue to do the right things, as I get the drift that you will continue to do.
Humans are fickle and near on completely flawed, so I shall finish with what I am constantly having to tell my wife.

BY-LAW 32 USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA

32.1 Any player or official who is found to have engaged in, or is suspected of engaging in the unacceptable use of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or any other social networking site, including blogs, in connection with the WAAFL in any way, may be dealt with by the WAAFL as it deems fit, notwithstanding the behaviour did not occur on the playing field.

32.2 Without limiting the operation of this by-law, unacceptable use may involve the player or official:
a) Criticising umpires, players or any other person involved in WAAFL;
b) Engaging in bullying behaviour including but not limited to name-calling or making condescending, offensive (including racist or sexist) or abusive remarks about any person; or
c) Engaging in any other behaviour which the WAAFL reasonably determines, in its absolute discretion, to have breached this policy.

32.3 It is not relevant that the player or official making the remarks was not aware that the content could or would be made publicly available.

Well this go serious quickly! Apologies for any offence caused- certainly not intended.

Might be worth noting that the kind of banter going on here would be pretty standard in most footy clubs. The use of offensive language, while usually avoided, I would expect would be fairly common and used in jest, rather than to cause offence (as I feel it was in my case!).

We are all passionate supporters, most of us regular volunteers as well. While no one should be put in a position where they feel threatened or offended, we should really be taking each other's comments pretty lightly, considering half of it is rubbish anyway!

Lets get back to talking Finals!

Here here scooby. I know what I saw at the game and have seen previously and that was the statement I made. GS, you also stated what you saw/heard. Whoopee! It's a footy forum. Can't afford to be too precious about these things

I dont think anyone has directly called you that. It is a forum so most people would expect to get a bit of heat especially if their club has a bad reputation.

Ok, let's get back to talking footy and the finals.

Went and watched both E1 games on the weekend. Both very entertaining games with some quality players running around.

In the elimination final, quinns started pretty well and found themselves a couple of goals up at half time. Ocean Ridge seemed a bit of the pace but came back hard in the second half and took home the chocolates.

The prisoners just, and I mean just won the other game. Wanneroo played a good game and had their chances, they just could not capitalise. Swan Districts seem to have lost some players from when I watched them earlier in the year.

Tips for this week

Rossmoyne easily and then they will also take the flag, can't see them being beaten. Hope I'm wrong though as I don't agree with them being in this league.

Ocean Ridge as their league team has now been knocked out and they will put some of these guys that have qualified into their reserves that are still going pushing numbers down to thirds. Where Wanneroo still have league and reserves this weekend so their depth may be tested. Whoever wins this game should go into next weeks game confident of knocking off the prisoners.

2nd time we've narrowly gone down to ridge this year which unfortunately brings whats been a decent year to an end. Ocean ridge and wanneroo are both good sides and the winner of this weekend is a very good chance of pushing through to the grand final.
Rossmoyne are the strongest side in the grade but they are beatable despite what their members on this site seem to believe.
That being said I do expect them to take out the flag in e1.
Hopefully that inspires them to field a 2nd side and not languish in e grade pumping everyone's 3rd and 5th sides.

Good luck to all remaining sides, I am looking forward to sitting back and watching 3 quality games of footy up at the bullring this weekend as our league side push onto c1.
Go Bulls
