Looking forward to hearing CantKickCantHandball's game synopsis of last Saturday's loss to Wanneroo. Herd it was a close in tight game that Brentwood lost by just over a goal.

As for next week, rumours are rife that some of the hero's of last years preliminary final loss in extra time will return for the game against Coolbinia. Sources have stated that dynamic forward duo of Boult-Lyne and Pilling may be re-introducing the decoy, double decoy strategy that hasn't been seen since the early 90's. The Farqueson Brother duo may be trialled in a pincer formation inside the centre square and nothing but positive from Rule (who will only be played in the back line) may be able to lift the entire side.

Can you confirm also the captain vice captain duo of Hall and Russel?

Look forward to seeing you boys on Saturday.

Jezza

Great to hear from you Jezza and even better to have you back.

The delay in the write up for last weeks narrow 5 point loss to Wanneroo was that I couldn't bear to relive the heartache of the final siren after such a gallant effort.

After a team weekend away executing some high altitude training at Bluff Knoll I believe we are ready for the clash of the titans of 8th vs 10th.

Ah the famous decoy to double decoy play that brought us so much success last year. I look forward to it being in play again. A lot of pointing, half leads and doubling back should go a long way to a victory. A dangerous combo when mixed in with the rarely seen Double F Tackle.

I believe Sir Blinksons is going to be captain this week and he will appoint his deputies.

Good to see spirits are still high down at doggie land despite the poor start to the season. With that kind of attitude the dogs might be worth a sneaky fiver to make the finals! What kind of price do you reckon, 100 to 1??

As the coach of the Wanneroo Thirds I can say I think Brentwood are unlucky to be where they.

They were the better team after quarter time. We only won due to the first quarter and the first 10 minutes of the last.

It was a good game and a bit to close for my liking.

You are wise beyond your years joomla016. All the 3's players at training last night (myself and one other) had a talk with the coach about that exact point and we think we could be a sneaky chance with some recent recruiting.

Endorphn, thanks for the kind words. That was the best side we'd put out on the park so far this year and we almost came away with the win. Couple of missed shots in the 3rd quarter hurt us and we gave away that 50m penalty and goal within 3 seconds of the second half starting haha. Great game though.

Just to keep you all updated we are looking at a coaching restructure. Our previous coach is going back to playing, the other coach is switching to being a runner and a wily 600 game veteran (one of the players dads) will go from spectator to game day coach. Having a runner and someone working the interchanges could be that 1% difference that gets us a win. I know I'll be bringing a big tub of gatorade this weekend in anticipation of a coach drenching.

G'day kermit, sorry about late reply mate. We didn't finish in the top 4 last year. Caught up with our president a few times already this year, he denies asking to be put up grades and also told me they had been in touch with the league and asked to move down.

I love playing footy, really only for fun these days but we all know how much more fun footy is when you are competitive in matches, not getting belted. Our club have lost a fair few numbers from our thirds side. We have played swan districts and Rossmoyne, as we all know, class above the rest. Both single team clubs.
Anyway, just keep rocking up to cop the big losses, and hope that next year get dropped a grade or 3. We are playing for draft picks now, little bit of tanking going on.

Was wondering where Chris Connelly had gotten to these days.. :P

It is one of those things that eventually settles it self in a few years. I guess the problem is once it settles itself it's time for another shake up. Hope all the struggling teams can keep the guys and team together until the next year when it gets a little better.

Looks like E2 might not be as close as first thought with Coolbellup easily accounting for CBC on the weekend and subsequently taking top spot.

Heard Cooby wacked both of CBC's runners. Any truth to this eye witness account?

Not from what i seen, the cbc runner was at the bench.
The cooby runner tried to break it up and copped a couple in the process, shouldnt have got involved at all.
Was a real hard game, not sure what started it.
