Until Mr Stewart and the EFFC issue a statement on the matter it really is all conjecture
Facts are EF Town Council own the plot and as such are able to govern it
EFFC own nothing

No deal has been agreed at SF - and this is pretty big

So 7 weeks and a few days away from the supposed first home game and Plan B is Plan A - we are playing at home and that’s it.If forced to negotiate with SF for usage is that enough time to finalise everything? The biggest issue to me is financial survival in the short term- not as Stewart harped on which was trying something new based on community involvement.Applaud that ethos generally but not at the cost of survival. Also he was very vague on the sources of revenue.

Not great pics but looks like it could be a very good wafl venue. They just need to solve the fence and identity issues.
Reminds of my junior days playing for Bedford when we shifted from Craven Park to Cooke Reserve. Was more sand than grass in the beginning.

Target 3000 members only 3-400 signed up so far. Asking $300 per membership I'd say that's the highest in the comp but that doesn't give you access to a seat. Going to have to pay another $15 on top of you want one of the 3-400 seats available with uninterrupted views.

So it was a 30 million dollar redevelopment but due to budgetary constraints they had to reduce the capacity of the grandstand. FMD

As soon as I heard there was not going to be a fence a few years ago it was obvious that it was going to be a failure. It is a dreadful venue as it is and apparently very limited sponsors signs are allowed to go up as well so that will add to more pain for the club as sponsors will bail out big time.  The sponsors signs also ad to the atmosphere of the venue so a venue with little atmosphere as it is will be totally devoid of atmosphere.
How are they going to make money

1. No Bar
2. No Gate takings
3. No sponsors.

They will have to ask the players to pay fees to survive

Bolter, who says we do not have a bar, we get a percentage of it and if members swipe there membership card money goes to club. Also we do have sponsors major sponsors, i am critical about this whole set up but i think you need to do your research. Also the council give a money for no fence and i think they balance it out to what we would get if we had a home game.

Yes we can't put up permanent signage like home of the Sharks but there is fencing around the ground for sponsors signage also the electronic scoreboard will advertise aswell

Moss83 had a look at the 2023 financial report for EF and some interesting info.Listed the 2023 results with 2022 in brackets.Yes things were different in the comparative years but it’s more a discussion piece for the future.Figures are rounded off.
Bar takings 32K (201K)
Gate 56K (42K)
Functions 233K (308K)
Sponsorship 642k(449 K)
Shire Compensation 156K (0)
The potential red flag is liquidity. If we take the “ liquid “. Assets/ Liabilities into consideration the 2022 A minus L is a positive $93K . 2023 result is a negative $74K - not very encouraging.
M83 I applaud your positivity but I have doubts your hope is going to turn into actual cash.Sponsors are likely to review their “value for money “aspects with the facilities the club can provide given that their hands are tied.Function income might be reduced again because of facilities As you suggest there might be some bar income but between that and no likely gate takings will the council/shire compo be enough to cover the previous income?
I admit I don’t know all the current arrangements and agreements in place but it doesn’t look all that healthy to me.

TheFeds there is not much positivity here, i can not seeing how its going to work and i reckon the board and the ceo are secretly shitting themselves, I was just simply stating what i was told about the signage around the ground and how if you swipe your membership card money goes to the club.

I am more pissed off that we can not put any club history or memorabilia in the main hall for members of the public to see. They said they would put it in the players and staff entry. They do not even have a merchandise shop its a doorway entry to the admin.

Surely they can buy some sort of portable facility to sell merch

Yeah correct about the memorabilia aspect. It took us quite a while to get ours shown due to the “negotiations “ aspects with VenuesWest at Joondalup but the difference is we had space ( however small) and we can enjoy our history now.In fact I go look through every few games. It gives a good vibe to the club - a situation you unfortunately by the looks of it may never have.Hope I’m wrong.

That's pretty funny...a Joondy supporter lecturing anyone about liquidity.
