Because of what has happened at Lathlain Park Oval in the aftermath of the Eagles moving there, the capacity has been reduced significantly.
So what happened in the aftermath of WCE moving to Lathlain?

Have you not been to Lathlain Park Oval since the Eagles started their development to notice that the size of the ground has been reduced, the scoreboard has gone, the outer bank has gone, the covered area immediately to the right of the grandstand has gone, the carpark has gone, the capacity of the ground has been reduced dramatically?
And Perth's bank balance has increased as a result of less overheads, the oval is the best surface in the WAFL and we have the best lighting in the WAFL. Only real issue so far has been the scoreboard.

All that and due to being a postage stamp size will never be able to host a major game, would debate surface as well. Lights good but once the WACA gets used wont compare.

Jealousy is a curse.
Not sure the oval is much different in size.
The oval is state of the art.
Has never looked better.
And the upkeep costs are very attractive.
And soon we will have one of the best premises of any Club.
So suck it up sunshines.

And very hard on the legs I hear from when we played there in Rd2.
Could that be a reason for the WCE & Perth leg injury list I wonder?

Interesting the BUPA injury hub on the WAFC site doesn't list Maxy anymore as of last week and shows Rowan Powell 1-2 weeks away and Jack Mayo 2-3. I hope it's a reflection that Max has recovered rather than he's given it away for the year. It also be great to get a few games into Jack before finals as he could be very handy at the pointy end.

Maxy is as tough as they come so would not be surprised if he's been cleared to play after this bye weekend and the next game v WCER, so he's got a couple more weeks to recover. would give both at least 1 run in the 2's before they return to league. Powell still a few weeks away shows just how bad the concussion was from that collision with Maxy was, the club is being rightfully very cautious with both boys.

Was a bit of a freak injury. Both arriving so hard at the spoil. Neither seeing the other. There was no great need to win the contest. Testament to their focus. No need to rush back to playing. Better safe than sorry.

Hope no symptoms like Venebles. That young man has done it tough.
