5 changes for us, another recruit goes down. Langlands - 3 weeks hamstring and Busher - 1 week hip and Rogers suspended. Another 2 debutants for us, I think that's 6 in 3 weeks.

Your outs DD make a journey to sit in the cold less appealing. It's not shaping up as a contest unfortunately. Perth have been unlucky. Sporting gods not smiling on us this week.

Well I’ll be there JL god willing. I can’t expect the players to make the effort if I’m not prepared to front up rain hail or shine.

What have we got from the Ch 7 broadcasts?

Ridiculous game times including Sunday am start times.  Camera work that appears to have been shot from outer space. Not all rounds televised.  And for the cost of a reputed one million dollars.
The live streamed games have far better camera work & quality of picture from what I have seen 42.
Channel 7 must be using cameras left over from their 1970s days in Dianella!
Which would be an improvement of the 1950s tech the ABC was using left over from Logie Beards lounge room.

Did they have colour tv in the 1950s?

There was no TV at all in Perth until 1959.  Colour TV commenced in 1975.

Thanks smokey; there was a degree of sarcasm in my post.

For those advocating night WAFL games it would be great to see some hard KPIs that can be used to measure the success or otherwise of those games.  As I pointed out Perth played Swans in a game starting at 5.10 pm on a Saturday earlier in the 2021 season.  It was the infamous "no scoreboard" game played on the 10th April.  The attendance figure for that game as per the WAFL site was 1,650 and for good measure from the BOM site the maximum for that day was 28.5C.  Again providing additional context it was round 2 of the 2021 season.  Perth had beaten the WCE reserves and Swans had scored probably their highest score in recent history against one of the favourites to win the GF Claremont in round 1.

Does an attendance of 1,650 for the night game indicate that there was an increase over what one would have expected for a day game?  Again to provide context the first fixture's attendances as per the WAFL site between Perth and Swans for seasons 2018, 2019 and 2020 with the home team in parentheses were: 2,099 (P), 2,110 (SD) and 2,558 (SD) respectively.  How does 1,650 stand up against the previous 3 years and noting of course the special circumstances of the 2020 season?

Do you like yumbos? Are you coming down tonight to do some data collection?

A good all round team effort. Difficult to single anyone out but Greg Clark continues his outstanding form with 42 touches. I also thought the Matera's and the Hickmott's were very good. I didn't like the vision of Ryan Borchet at 1/4 time on crutches and a cast. He's weeks away if that's anything to go by. A week and half rest then back into it when hopefully Maxy and Rowan Powell should be good to go. Well done by all tonight boys.
