In all honesty Zucconi is just a player, & for too long Perth have had to many of these also rans & kept them with no improvement. If Zucconi was committed he would be there training already.

Thanks also for the welcome Superdude; we were obviously just writing at the same time. I agree with your comments on the state of the squad and the influence of certain new faces. The club has been reasonably ruthless so far in terms of new discipline standards as demonstrated. Whether I'm right or wrong can be judged by others, but Zucconi is one player that I would be a bit tolerant with. I understand there are certain circumstances surrounding his current absence, of which he has been a contributor to, but if he is prepared to come back with the right approach, I would welcome him.

Rightly or wrongly Zucconi has missed through a year at Ammos,1/2 to 3/4 of a year through travelling and now for whatever reason is not there??
Thats the past 3 seasons.
Bottom line hes not getting any younger,has missed a lot of footy and if he returns he has missed(by the sounds of it) another pre-season campaign.

Zucconi for mine is the type that needs as much footy and mileage in his legs as he can get to play the game that is required of him,lets face it hes not blessed with a lot of class.

What is the situation with Daniel O'Sullivan? You boys haven't mentioned him. If you don't reckon he should be in your top 22 can you please ask him to return to Billy Grayden because we would love to have him back playing with his mates!

TP, O'Sullivan was training before Christmas and I expect that he has returned this week with the rest of the squad.
I have posted previously that IMHO he is in our top 22.

Sully was training tonight and looked good. In top 22 and with a solid per season could be a big improver after injury hampered start last year.

Eyres looks a million bucks and seems champing at the bit, was also another ruck man Eyres was up against in drills that was bigger than him and looked alright (from little I saw) - not sure who he was.

Anyone have any thoughts yet on captaincy?

Chance Bateman for captain i reckon Baseline , pretty sure he was at some stage in the leadership group at Hawthorn and with his experience at the top level i reckon would be a great leader .

Biggest bunch of wasters and dribblers I have ever met. Bateman captain?? You blokes serious here? And then who in 2014? Neon Leon?? =) and then get McDougall back in 2015 and then give it to "Zucca" in 2016 when he finally turns up?

Thanks Baseline, Paul Bevan I think for me with Chance taking on an important role in the leadership group, maybe Vice Captain.

We have gained a number of talls which is good news. Did he look young or was he more a mature player, could you fathom that?

I think Eyres will continue to develop and I reckon he will end up being a goodin.

As for Dogman, we'll just press the ignore button and hopefully he may disappear.
