30+ , Tyson Rowling played ressies at WP in 2011. Comes to us as a 1 point player (no league Games ?). From Bencubbin. Has been discussed previously on another thread.
Alex Riel is a 18yo from our Colts and was third in F & B.
I don't know anything about Jared Risol.I'm sure someone will provide some info.

Scarry, Jared Risol is 22yo from Werribee Tigers 193cm 92kg .
Note that Tim Ruffles and Will Sullivan play for Werribee - coached by Scott West.

No doubt, we are a long way off the Claremont's of this world. We'll need to play at our best, have no major injuries, and create some momentum early on (that loss to South last season was a bad one) to have a chance of making the 4. Good to read that we are fit, and that the club has tried to institute a culture-change by moving some players on.

I think a better way to think about our line-up is this way:

Established/proven league players: Bateman, Risol, Sketcher, Reimers, Billings, Bevan, Busher, Davis (?), Donovan, Florio, Hodge, Kane, Jacobs, Leeson, O'Sullivan, Moody, Smith, Rogers, Stack, Tedesco, Vidot, White, Zucconi.

Improvers? (Reserves/Colts players): Matt Hunt, Sean Holland, Cameron Jones, Deaves, Chrimes, Eyres, Edwards, Della Bosca, Houghton, Mather, Kalajkic, Morgan, Murray, Manuel, Richardson, Rowling, Ramsay, Rodgers, Riiel, Salmon, Sandilands, Stuart, Stearne, Yarran, Wishnowsky, Warner, Wallam.

Unknown: Irons.

So, I make 23 established/proven players, though people might cast doubt over a few in this list - Davis might not play, White is an unknown after a season off, Risol and Sketcher haven't played in the WAFL, and a couple of others you might not hope to put in your best 22.

And 28 in the Improvers? list. But this is where we have to pull some surprises out of the hat if we're to be more than just competitive this season. People have spoken about Chrimes, and I know Eyres had some good league games last season. Some at least have played league, others are probably going to only be ressies players, at least this season.

I put Irons in the unknown category, and we probably need him to fit in pretty quickly and improve throughout the season.

Obvious problem areas: no established ruckman, no established goal-kickers and a somewhat small and makeshift backline. The midfield could be OK if Smith stays, Bateman stays injury free, and Sketcher comes on quickly. And perhaps if Reimers can spend sometime through the middle and Bevan can have a bit more impact. I still think mid-field is absolutely key and you need 8 or so players who can swing through there.

I've left off Eagles/Freo aligned players deliberately.

Hate to be a pessimist but i can't see how we can lift ourselves off the bottom, the ins will not be enough to cover the losses imo, someone mentioned we wont win the spoon its good to see we are aiming high. :woohoo:

Gee a lot is being expected of Alex Riiel if he's going to suit up for the league team. Only just out of colts. He's a talent but no better way to burn the kid then make him punch above his weight at league level.

Looks like Bushy is going to have to revive his switch hitting ways from the colts and go down back to help out the team. Might be a goer in 2013 but won't work in 2014 when McInnes and Tunbridge move to East Spoon.

Sorry to upset the faithful but without Peel around to keep us off the bottom, 9th is looking pretty good i reckon.

Lakefield Redleg, I agree with you, I think our squad is not as bad as people make out.

The standout for me is the numbger of new tall players in the squad.

And yes 30+, I know a lot of them have not got a lot of experience, but that's what you have development coaches for to bring them along and give them their chance. By the way in case you didn't notice we now have a good development coach on staff.

Not going overboard just stating the obvious, we won't be as bad as people think.

And Johnno I am impressed with your negativity, NOT.

Exactly what the Club is trying to eliminate.

No place for it at Brownes.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

Is it getting rid of negativity or surrounding yourself with yes men?

There are too many on here saying "we and us" and then putting the club down. This happens every year and is the result of 30+ years of misery and disappointment.
If some of you people out there are REAL Perth supporters how about getting behind the club for a change and cast off that negative attitude and show all the players, coaches and support staff that you are right behind them and support the new culture, the new values, the new commitment, the new discipline and focus.
They need to know that ALL supporters are right there with them. Without us their job is so much more difficult.
Support or just go away.
Jebus, the "yes" men are the ones who care. Without them this club would have died long ago. If that is what you want then you better find another club to "support".

DF agree with you , we will end up putting a reasonable team on the park and with the recruits and guys returning from injury i reckon we will surprise a few people in 2013 . One thing concerns me though and that is Dene White returns - surely not in our best 22 .
