The Delta Variant,has unlike the original strain,managed to afflict kids in the US.to the point ,where in Florida a couple of months ago when it was at its peak,ICU wards and beds were full to the point,where a kid with a burst appendix,nearly died in the waiting room due to the unbearable covid strain which obviously  stretched hospital resources to the limit.      Yet despite  all this,I saw footage of parents at schools verbally abusing teachers at schools for implementing mask mandates,in a state where Covid had quite clearly impacted the health of kids,and the poor teachers were being damned for trying to implement an extra layer of protection for those ungrateful pricks kids,but then again Florida is a red state,so most of them wouldv'e been Pro Trump morons             So i have to say i'am very grateful to be living in Perth W.A in a city where myself and my family have got through this world pandemic relatively unscathed,so Mark Mc Gowan keep doing what your doing.

RL...if you're quite happy being locked away from the rest of the planet, may I respectfully suggest you move to North Korea when our borders open whenever that may be.

BC McClown is collecting data and having conversations with other Premiers as we speak and I'll bet my left nut this piss weak so called leader will do anything to keep us locked into WA and keep Omicron out. It prevents him from tackling the pandemic head on.

It's got to the point now where the damage done by these restrictions far exceeds the risks of opening the borders in my opinion.

I agree that masks should be your choice and if I'm down in Perth, especially if and when the borders open I will choose to wear a mask, but the one thing that must be made mandatory is the vax passport system where those who can prove full vax can come and go as they please and those who "choose" not to vax, cannot come and go as they please. It does create a two level society, those who are vaxed (enlightened and caring) those who are not (selfish numpties)

Florida has a population of over 21 million so not sure what relevance comparing case numbers over Xmas to WA.

Maybe they have more cases as they allow dancing indoors at places other than weddings?
