Gee I pity the poor buggers donning PPE in that Perth heat.....was bad enough the other day wearing it swabbing in the Christchurch "heat" of 27° for two days on the trot..... fark doing it  in 30 something plus and having folk give you shite because they had to wait...... good way to lose a few pounds  before the Xmas festivities I guess.....

So Mark blinked first again as soon as there is one positive case in the community and guess what we know so far? His girlfriend and 4 housemates have all returned negative tests, although the gf is showing signs of some symptoms. This Premier would jump at the sight of his own shadow.

Anyway might be a good thing if there are dozens more cases, McGoo has even admitted keeping the borders closed might be a waste of time if there is rapid community spread.

Spot on mate, this is shaping up as the previous episodes, remember the guy that lived with 5 other people who had a super strain but never spread it to a single person despite going from one end of perth to the other? this ones shaping up the same, apparently has super super spread delta virus the housemates and his intimate partner are coming up negative,  this guy has been to pretty much every nightclub dancing venue in Northbridge, pubs in Scarborough and a gaggle of other joints, lets just see how many come up positive, surely there would be one by now....

As BC says I guess at least we are not in full lockdown down, imagine if he pulled that on the day before Xmas Eve!

Lets wait and see if his close contacts come up neg or pos, he tested neg prior to leaving Qld, then pos when he got here, so we need a couple more days to see if their neg tests hold.

Great to hear that the Fed authorities have reduced the timeframe for the booster jab to 4 months initially, then to 3 months at the end of Jan, so I rang my GP this morning to book the bride and I in for the booster only to be told that they cant take these early booster bookings until they are officially notified by the WA health department. FMD how hard is it to get an email out to all the registered GP's and Pharmacies to approve bookings. Just another fail by this Governments hopeless health department. At my age I'm very keen to get the booster before we open up on Feb 5.

Same here, rang up this morning to make a booking and the lady knew nothing about the reduced time.  Can’t do anything till the govt informs them.  Oh well, I suppose big machines move slowly.

Same with me Daz, I end up thinking if its even possible to cover that much ground in the time given, makes me think if they are chucking places in that other people have been just to be safe.

Apparently its been "mainstream" for quite a while now, mixed crowd, not that I'd know of course.
