And from what has been clearly shown, some of our so called leaders have serious questions that need answering.
What many ordinary folk cannot see is the olden days prior to march of twenty 20 are gone. Those days not returning any time soon. The China virus going to have an impact for years to come. Many people think the virus will just go away if they protest enough. Conversely, being vaccinated is better than not being so.  

I expect a lot more will be getting tested today and beyond as it gets a little cooler and the Xmas/Boxing Day festivities are out of the way.

I don't mind being stood corrected if wrong, but were the testing stations open on Christmas day. Apparently many being empty with no-one showing interest in being tested. If so, I'd have thought the 25th would be the better option of being tested. No waiting in lines etc and a quick turnaround. The opening times were obviously not publicised very well.

I was just informed that masks are to be worn til 4/1/22.

But also that 80 numpties from the mess hall have turned their phones off and refusing to be tested.  MMM if the are back packers BYE!

Mask McGowan strikes again. Same pony, same old trick. It's like he's saying ok ok you want me to open the borders? Wearing a mask is the price you will pay for bringing down my precious borders.

It's a waste of fucking time and only causes more economic pain and suffering and delays the inevitable.

DD funny but mask wearing seems to be the one thing most if not all administrations around the globe agree on as a plausible strategy against covid 19, there is also universal condemnation of authorities where it is not mandated, not by politicians but by folk whose job and qualification allows their opinion to be valid.

The border will open and all hell will break loose just like NSW and Vic and London, Brussels etc but for however long we have not had to live a cloistered life like many others in the big wide world!

Grump the bottom line is fully vaxed don’t end up in hospital wasting resources. Scientific evidence has stated Omicron is up to a whopping 80% less severe than delta so why are we panicking? They have said we are all going to get Omicron eventually anyway vaxed or not. It is governments job to deal with a crisis and put resources where they are needed most, not shut down everyone’s lives to avoid a crisis.

I maintain masks should be a personal choice, not enforced on us by big brother. McGowan is a selfish prick.

Ok that is fine when personal choice can't have impact on others but hey take your chances, I am alright stuff the rest of the community.

I suppose or suspect from the bias of your posts that you would be believer in the current mantra of the Morrison church, oops government of common sense being the way forward.

The flaw in the mantra is from my view a very rare commodity. 

Yes commonsense Grump, not big brother with it's flawed and contradictory policies like you have to wear a mask when out in public places but it's ok to take it off when you are eating or drinking. It's a good thing the virus knows it can't get out or in when someone is eating or drinking. Lol.

Since I was straight in to get the vaccine as soon as I was eligible and same with the booster, I hardly fit into the stuff the rest of the community category.

Spot on DD. It's almost like McClown wants to be seen to be proactive and in charge. As you say, masks in restaurants unless you're eating or drinking is nonsense. Also, no dancing in pubs or clubs but it's ok at weddings....WTF....is there a difference? I can have 20 people at my place for Xmas lunch with no masks but if I go to the local cafe, I have to be seated and wearing a mask if not eating or drinking. There's so many contradictions it's just a joke. And all this for one positive case who was quarantined during the infection period and we're almost at 90% double vaccinated. It's patent rubbish.
