BC that would mean he's been here approaching 2 yrs as a back packer, sounds odd to me, on top of that he's boarded a plane from Qld and come here unvaccinated how do you do that? 

Its not that different for mine BC might not be full lockdown, but still mask mandate is OTT for mine, all that was Ok prior to vaccines but not now, keep it to High Risk areas, old folks homes hospitals et al...as we know its a small step first and then then big wack soon follows, any more cases and pubs and cafes are gone, nightclubs are already.

Yes...agree with both DD and Baz. With only 1 case so far and 84% in WA double vaccinated, let it run its course I say.

This thing is hardly touching anyone. Let it do a clean sweep for mine. As has been said, masks only at hospitals, buses/trains/planes and aged care. Everywhere else to be individual discretion.

These masks are taken off by all and sundry - left on tables, benches (filthy things) - More harm than good - but am willing to toe the line on the above mentioned places to keep the hystericals subdued.

Everybody seems to be an expert, I get lost in all the opinions, fucked if I know, I do know WA has been the best place in the world the last couple of years. Settle down, settle down I'm not saying that's because of the apparent "laughing stock of the nation and world Mclown" , I understand it's mostly because of our geography. What I want to know is, are our unvaxed children definitely safe from this shit?

Yes I hope the hard questions get asked here with this latest case! A damn backpacker is allowed in, whilst previously people with legitimate and genuine reasons have been denied!! 
And what of all the damn people whom have travelled out of the metro area? And gone and/or going to wherever? Will they be required to wear masks? Driving back from work and the roads are already congested with people leaving the metro area! 

I'm in York but travel to Perth regularly for my business so technically I should be wearing a mask up here when inside the nominated venue types, but will I give that serious consideration as we sit down for Christmas lunch in 43 deg???

So Mark blinked first again as soon as there is one positive case in the community and guess what we know so far? His girlfriend and 4 housemates have all returned negative tests, although the gf is showing signs of some symptoms. This Premier would jump at the sight of his own shadow.

Anyway might be a good thing if there are dozens more cases, McGoo has even admitted keeping the borders closed might be a waste of time if there is rapid community spread.
