Well...there you have it. From Monday, if I'm fully vaccinated and I live in other States including Victoria and NSW I can travel overseas without Federal Government permission and go into 1 week home quarantine when I get back. If I live in WA, I have to go into 2 weeks hotel quarantine at my own expense that's if McGoo lets me come back in at all. Give me strength!!!

I have tried to stay supportive of McGowan but I am finding that whilst I want WA to be safe there is a point at which there has to be some concessional progress. 

My wife and I are both fully vaccinated as are my immediate family, common sense and civic understanding suggested that this was the right thing to do! If others choose not to be vaccinated then deny them whatever freedoms I get, that is their choice. If I want to go to Bali (where I would never go  given the other places in the world to see) then I can but the numpties who aren't doing the correct thing cannot! 

There part of this is how many numpties will lie and cheat to go to Bali and come back and infect a multitude of others, bet on it! If they're not vaccinated and get it oops the ICU is full and we have runout of ventilators!

Sorry Mr McGowan but you are losing my support not that Meerkat and Cremed Honey will get it but you need to reward folk for doing the right thing!

Rest assured BC there are more than enough drongo’s in WA that will return McGoo with another mighty majority. Then again what choice do we have? Christian Party? Oops I mean Liberal Party. No thanks, Nats for me next election in WA.

Good point DD. If an election were to be held tomorrow I wouldn't have a clue who to vote for tbh. I guess we're voting for our local member and not who is going to form government and mine's McGurk who is no world beater so I'd probably vote Libs if they had a half decent candidate.

Word is McClown will be opening the State up February next year, but get this it's going to come with an 8 weeks "lock down light" that means the WAFL season will once again be hit probably the first few weeks, with crowd restrictions, masks et al, you cannot make this crap up.

This is apparently so Health Dept can asses the impact on the public health system should delta break out.

This is 100% about the hopeless public health system not coping.

Thats pretty much right, WA is a no go even if you could get a flight as you are stuck with 2 weeks hotel lock up on return, in terms of the Eastern States just remember it is limited to certain countries, I think Singapore being one and even then there are a few requirements testing, , one week at home, but even then miles better than us.

I had a hotel credit up in Lombok with I had changed booking dates on 3 or 4 times from nearly 2 years ago, I came to conclusion that I was never going to make it back there in the forseable future and just wrote it off.  

Qatar gave us a credit on another trip , which I recently decided to cash in for a full refund, for the same reason.

Mark McGowan is a DICKHEAD. We can't let this prick get away with this act of vandalism on sport and the entertainment industry. What is the fucken point of being fully vaxed if you can't have maximum crowds unmasked in event's that require proof of full vaccination or you are denied entry and why should sporting teams fully vaxed be denied entry unless they quarantine for 14 days?

Yep. As of next Monday if you're fully vaccinated and live in NSW, Vic, ACT you can fly out to 10 countries including SAF, Italy, Greece, Germany, USA and UK and return home without quarantining and then Singapore as of 8 November. If I want to do it from WA I have to go into 14 day hotel quarantine at my own expense. I need to travel to various countries in the Middle East, Europe and SE Asia for work but currently it's just not worth it. To quote a famous line..."well McGoo...you've done it again..."

Good on you Mark Mcgowan for keeping WA safe and still running  throughout this covid stuff,unlike most other basket case states in Australia.

He's not keeping WA safe Bond...he's just delaying the inevitable. Other states are learning to live with Covid, we have to live in spite of it and stay locked in our hermit state with borders closed.
