Huge COVID-19 numbers in Nsw today.1431 new infections and sadly 12 have passed away.

And tipped to hit 2000 a day by Sept 10 and they are saying that's steady.

Interesting article but you need to read the whole article to see how the raw statistics dont tell the whole story. While Isreals case numbers have jumped the vax is reducing the severe cases. Thats what the vax does, some may still get the virus but in most cases it wont be severe and cause hospitalisations. We will live with it but will never eradicate it, like we do with the common Flu. But the double Vax rate for the entire population needs to be well north of 80% and we need Vax passports so those that have done the right thing enjoy some benefits and those that refuse to Vax can stay locked away in their own self possessed caves. Of course dont include those who cant vax due to other health reasons. We are getting vaxed to protect those people.

Um, but SloMo has an election to win and he probably needs to win seats off Labor in NSW to achieve it so NSW will be opening up and for the rest of us it'll be stiff shit.

Agreed but it is the issue of % vaccination being the panacea to the issues, neither the flowing bulb nor the gospel pusher have said anything abt how the issue managed into the future, both the UK and US have high numbers of hospitisation even with vaccinated folk. I am not sure this like the common cold or the influenza (that point is that most folk cry flu when all they have is a cold .....), my son is in the UK and one of his fully vaccinated mates ended up in the ICU and yes there is an underlying health issue but ........ .

So pretty much sums up the idea that vax against Covid not only significantly reduces getting it or the severity of it but also the long term affects of those un vaxed who are getting a full blown dose of Covid 19, especially the Delta variant. This thing is in its infancy and the more the health pro's learn about it, the more stupid those who rail against Vax look.

I see now we have got hold of a heap of a newly approved anti viral drug to knock covid symptoms on the head, this whole thing stinks of $, over 6 billion vaccines at 30 bucks a pop, fark me some kients have made a packet out of all of this bs

That certainly is fodder for the conspiracy theorists.  There maybe a bit of fudging from the suppliers no doubt.
