Hopefully the WAFC start looking at these figures before they hand out the development grants each year.
I dont think any fair minded WAFL supporter would begrudge Perth trying to improve their playing stocks over a short period of time as 40 years in the wilderness is far too long and they should have a fair few boys from the current Colts squad who will become League regulars in the next few years.
As for $ubi well their poor figures are no surprise to any real WAFL fans. Playing in 50% of the GFs in the last 30 years & 75-80% of the Finals series over the same time period you would think they may be inclined to give a few more of their own zone youngsters a crack at it but not this mob who then went on to recruit more outsiders in Sokol, McKenzie, Yarran, Ryan, Shepheard and have been relentless in trying to lure a couple of other WAFL clubs F&Bs from teams currently at the foot of the table over to them as well with big offers thus strengthening themselves whilst further weakening the opposition.
If the WAFC are fair dinkum it must be high time to look at making the grants criteria based eg 60% local zone based over the season as a minimum ..as it makes a mockery of receiving the development grant whilst certain some are doing everything but developing their own talent!

Dev do you want the % of local zone country talent per club or just how many country boys overall regardless of zone?

It's perfectly relevant BH, you have no choice but to use your local lads, if you still had the money (or money you thought you had)like you did around the 2010 flag you would still be doing exactly the same extensive recruiting you did back then where your GF team had around 50% local content. If that's a crime now it was a crime back then, so your not kidding anyone with your self righteous holier than thou ramblings.

Haha yeah really comparing apples with apples as per normal $$ this is no one off when talking about your mob they are serial offenders and have been for decades ..for a start back around 2010 SD had just had 20 players taken in the previous few years draft we wouldn't have been competitive without the likes of Geappen, Twomey, Robbo, Roach, Kraks, whereas $ubi wouldn't have had 20 players drafted in the last 20 years and recruit that many outsiders every bloody year just to top off their list it is not just a once off, secondly how do you know that Swans wouldn't have gone down the path of developing their own you are only guessing. Harding, Cooper, Smart, Thompson et al that have taken on roles at club since 2010 are more for developing our local talent and if we have a deficiency in a certain area then we will look outside to fill it if there isn't anyone within our ranks who can, whereas $ubi recruit recruit recruit and if they have any spots left over they will fill it with a local if they are lucky.
How you blokes can hold the hand out to accept the development grant each year with a straight face defies logic.

Yeah, give us the figures from around 2010 you precious little sister. And when you do,give the followers of this site a run down of the source of the recruits your mob gathered such as Hansen from the AFL.Then we can compare it with the likes of Latham,Sokol and Ryan who were starved of opportunities at other clubs and have been given another opportunity to succeed at Subi, and have.

If we swap zones does that also mean we get the $ubi Oval ticket deal plus the bar takings & also the compensation package for being turfed out DG?

Hansen was not recruited by Swans champ he was an allocated Eagle much like Mundy, Crowley, Anthony were for your mob.
Looks like the Lioness crew have had their cage well & truly rattled now if only the WAFC can take note! :)

Sure Beas, just as long as you compensate us for having sweet fa for 50+ years. If we had the tiges zone we would've won a hell of a lot more flags than we have let me tell you. It's just a gravy train of talent...
