They will never be allowed back into Wa on a extended basis.I think both major parties have stated that.

They will if enough ppl petition against it they will have no choice

I'll say yes to pokies at clubs if they remove all gambling advertising from our tv screens where kids are exposed and brainwashed from an early age. Most disgusting thing in football in my eyes

Grassy your right, although I'm no fan of the gambling ads, they could be pushed back to after 9.00pm perhaps, but also a believer in personal freedom and to make my own mind up as to what I can and cant do, Tired of the increasing move towards the nanny state, pushed by the PC Nazi's. The idea that something is legal within an area of a few hectares but not in other controlled environments is ludicrous. Let the state government take their tax slice on the pokies and use it for better mental health care including those who cant control their own behavior.

Like I said the sky hasn't fallen in in SA/NSW/QLD/Tas etc so I think it's safe to legalise pokies in properly constituted clubs and associations who would need to be properly licensed.

Not necessarily.Do they pass everything that poeple vote for.Do they pass everything that people sign petitions for.
I think you would find that the majority wouldn't want them any way.

Maybe so but key words are - if enough people sign. I think you would find the majority wouldn't give a stuff

Great points Seagull. This issue really makes WA the wait a while state. Some many posotives outweighs the negatives.Pokies dont come knocking on your front door, people go to them..Our sporting clubs and Government,Tourism. Pokies could finance great facilities at Wafl grounds. That would bring people to the game..

Funny thing is the Guv allows betting facilities at the Boneyard - can't see much diff to that & the Pokes

But as I said earlier it's hard to see Uncle Gap Tooth's plebs up the top end of St Georges Tce changing anything I reckon

Colin Barnicle is gone at the next election so maybe flick off a petition that we'll vote for the fool if he sets ém up for the WANFL clubs , he'll grasp that straw
