What part of the SDFC zone did these three players come from?

BC wrote: you're sounding like a broken record 42 and quite frankly have become boring and a bit of an embarrassment...how has Subi's AFL seats arrangement made them the dominant force in the WAFL? Carlton, Melbourne, Collingwood have vast financial resources which hasn't translated into recent success. Your beloved Bogans have lucrative sponsorship deals with Steel Blue and BHPB but you lot are struggling. Blame whomever or whatever you like but at days end take responsibility that your mob are chit this year because you don't have the cattle or coaching staff. We're all under the same points system and salary cap and last time I looked Subi were inside both. Heaven help any club which does well when SD are struggling as straight away there's a conspiracy according to you when in fact SD are the only one to have been caught cheating in recent times.

BC I presume some of that was rhetorical since one doesn't need to be a Rhodes' Scholar to conclude that Subiaco's ability to provide packages for the AFL games allows an income stream that no other WAFL club has. With respect to our sponsorship, a significant amount of our sponsorship money is for our vSwans' programme. A programme that one wonders whether the AFL knows anything about.

Delude yourself as much as you like when you try to deny the reality that it is SUbiaco's financial circumstance that allows your club to dominate. According to your good self and others Subiaco's junior zone is diabolical and therefore it is not through your junior development that has allowed your dominance to continue. Over the past few years you have recruited Twomey, Robinson from Swans and from all reports attempted to throw everything bar the kitchen sink to get Davis to leave Swans and go to Subiaco. How you were able to get Robinson to leave Swans around February and were still able to remain under the salary and points' cap is a wonder that alongside string theory and the theory of relativity is beyond my capabilities to explain.

My final point is that if Subiaco don't realise the damage caused by their financial advantages and hence their dominance of the WAFL competition it is very unfortunate. As that and the host club alignment may spell the end of the WAFL competition as we know it.

That's one theory
Another would be that crowds have been on the decline since Swan Districts made a mockery of our great WAFL competition in 2010 with its drug, tax, player points and salary scandals.

Glass houses champ

TOSG you have been given opportunity after opportunity to provide evidence vis a vis the tax scandal. Like the rest you have singularly failed to provide any evidence of same. As for glass houses which club dropped players off last year to allow them to remain under the points' cap? Which club has been singularly and spectacularly failed to provide a decent crowd for the last two Grand Finals they have played in?

Deny and delude yourselves as much as you like Subiaco supporters but it won't remove the fact that Subiaco's dominace off the field financially has played a significant role in their dominance on the footy field and the discontent that this current situation alongside the host club alignment has alienated a large proportion of those that had previously been supporting the WAFL competition.

JD62 welcome to the non sequitur club with that spurious argument. When Swans recruited those players, and no-one has suggested they came from Swans' zone, where had we finished in the league and reserves in the previous years? A completely different situation to Subiaco already dominating a competition cherry picking some of the best players from other clubs.

42 it is also worth noting how many LOCAL Swans boys were taken in the Draft in that 06-08 period before the likes of Twomey, Robinson, Geappen were recruited to the club?
How were we going to replace the likes of Naitunui, Rance, Yarran, Walters, Garlett, Jetta x 2, Miles, Armfield, Ellard, Banfield, Notte, Blight, Pearce et al and remain even close to competitive coming off a 7th placed finish?
It is obviously something CERTAIN OTHER CLUBS know nothing about as they wouldnt have had that many drafted this century let alone in just a few year period and yet continue to recruit outsiders willy nilly year after year!

last good crowd I saw there in and H & A was 1989, That game is on you tube I think.

2011 vs $ubi, 2008 vs Perth, 2009 vs SF 2010 vs EP are just a few off the top of my head that had double the Derby crowd on Saturday!

The precious sisters think it's all about them, their club is now irrelevant on the field and in attendance figures. It's time to sit quietly now fellas while the traditional WAFL clubs dominate.
