EF v SD attendance I'm guessing was only around 1500 at best. Disappointing really given the conditions and no AFL.

I know EF support base is not the best these days but the swannies fans didn't seem to show up. A couple in the Shark Pit where there is usually quite a few.

Yesterday was shite at Lathlain and by the look of the WP v EP game on telly you wouldn't think it was a Derby though that was on the outer and i guess most people were in the shade somewhere on the grandstand side.

I heard there was a big rugby match yesterday afternon in Perth. The WA team played one of the eastern states sides. Apparently 20 thousand spectators attended the rugby game which would have impacted on the wafl figures too.

I'm glad you brought it up a/man, this moron follows me around where ever i post after i have posted a comment that has nothing to do with him. He is good mates with Paul (who i noticed you had a few run in's with) who has been banned on here so he has that joker driving him. Demonsforever has also had several posts (and topics) removed already. I have tried to ignore him but how long can you?

This bloke is paranoid about anything he doesn't like said about the Perth FC. The mods need to seriously look at removing him. A forum is for free speech, not for trolls to ruin threads to get their own jolly's. Have a look on Oos's Footy tipping thread and you will see what i mean after i posted my tips.

I respect this forum but obviously some people do not.

I think 990 radio broadcast the Perth FC/ Pt game. Did anybody listen to the broadcast? I wonder if the commentators made mention of the attendance figures?. In my earlier post, they were the numbers printed in the newspaper.

Let's face it the WAFL probably won't have increased attendances especially when you look at the future of the competition. When older folk like us WAFL diehards can't go to games any longer who will? My kids don't want to go and get pissed off at me because I can't get tickets for West Coast games.

I have no answer.

The competition isn't really supported by the media or promoted properly. Would the general footy public even know the season started on the weekend?

You can't even get attendance figures when web sites like Perth Now state the attendance for the Cl Vs SF game as "around 2000" which means there was probably 1680 there.

The WAFL website usually will post the official attendance figures on their results page on Tuesday afternoon.

Seeing as those West Coast Pissants decided they deserved Foundation Day fixtures - you can kiss any chance of bumper rounds goodbye forever (well until we get to rid ourselves of Bradshaw and his scumbag cronies anyway)

Foundation Day derbies in particular have always been a winner and if you had the western suburbs S v C fixture along with the Eastern Suburbs SD v P one it was win win win win ...... so

Yet another can of fuel to my growing hatred of the mongrels dissecting our comp for their V/AFL masters

Piss off WCE & take that Purple Pus with you

I went along to Claremont v South, and to say the turnout was dissapointing would be putting it mildly, thinking Claremont won the flag , had a flag raising ceromony would of got a few along but no.

Reckon they had about 500 people in the members and you could count the people in the outter - or what is left of it on one hand - about 8 people.

BTW, the ground is a total mess, half of it has been demolised, you cannot get access to the northern end...there is one trasportable toilet in the whole place, mind you with less that 1000 people now turning up that is all that is needed.

it was a bit weird there were a few Clarmont bogan looking supporters there, never seen that before.

have to agree with you mate.

the two locals AFLers have done the utmost to put the death nail into the comp, there is little or no interest any longer, the one day decent day - Foundation day is now killed as well...very sad.

I spoke to a few hard core WAFL fans over summer and were shocked to hear them say that they had decided not to bother this year, the passion was simply not there anymore,
