Bugger all at Latho today , I reckon 1500 tops, perfect day as well.

I reckon if there going to insist on a Good Friday game better to restrict it to one feature game at twighlight, as it looks like the novelty has a.ready worn thin.

Could go either way regarding the fixturing - A big game will draw a crowd anyway and it doesn't have to be during Easter. The biggest crowds are behind us in the WAFL but for Subi a game against WP or EP will always bring out the Lions supporters. The Ducks supporters travel well as do the Demons to Leederville.

Home games at night for Subi have and will continue to work well for Subi as the ground is more family friendly than Freo and lighting is a bit better but still not up to standard I feel.

I'd like to see a night game up against Swans early or very late in the season ???

It needs 2 big drawing sides mate, last year had it with Perth and the Ferrals but this year with the alignment the Ferral fans are already staying away in droves! It needs a derby or SD v WP AT Basso

Reckon it was a blue to have all the games in the first two days of the easter break, the good friday thing I think has limited appeal , most people have family things on good friday so its a toss up weather its really worth two games, traditionally there would always be a game on Easter Monday which I reckon they should stick with.

as you say the big crwods are well and truelly gone, next year will be even worst when the full host club thing starts, i have spoke to quite a few old wafl diehards this year who have told me this season will probably be their last as regular attendees, Ive actually been shocked how many have said this, they simply say the comp has lost it passion and they simply cant be bothered anymore, some are taking up dockers memberships instead.

sad but true.

S&S the Good Friday games have been the best attended WAFL H&A fixtures over the last few years so how on earth can you protest that they have "limited appeal"??? If anything the Saturday games up against the 2 AFL games are the "limited appeal" games in this day & age! I just wish Swans would bite the bullet & demand a home game on Good Friday!

Will not happen unless the game is played at St Mary's Cathedral.

Thats bull the best attended games were Foundation Days derbies both freo and perth ones and a few other games, Good Friday had one good year the first year they rolled it out, i think they go5 5000, since then its steadily fallen away, they got 2500 and 1500 respectively this weekend, if clubs want to have them then its up to them I guess but I reckon one game on the friday and then one on Monday and a couple Saturday.

anyway it wont be long till AFL have one on Good Friday as well ,,fark knows why.

They actually got more on easter moday last year than they did on the friday, all im saying is keep a game on Monday as it has always worked.

to be really worth it you need to have big crowds as clubs are forced to pay double time penalty rates to bar staff etc, it might even be more than bouble time..if your only getting what you;d get on a saturday arvo, whats the point.

anyway it wont be long till AFL have one on Good Friday as well ,,fark knows why.

btw whats the SS got to do with it...NAZIS in WAFL ..lol

Official crowd figures from WAFLonline are:

Peel V East Freo 2653 (Looks like the Sunday Times was fairly accurate!)
Subi V East Perth 3406
Perth V South Freo 2278
Swans V Claremont 2372

Total 10509

I think if the AuFL Weagles hadn't taken over the Royals this year then a crowd of over 4000 would have easily turned up for the Good Friday game ???

I think the EP attendances will drop off this year because of the take-over.

Yep, it's looking that way.

Unusual to see more Subi supporters in attendance than East Perth supporters.
