Cannot see for the life of me see why they fixture against Eagles/Dockers.

Just stupid.

Sadly, even though it's a really interesting WAFL round, we are up against the Fremantle game on TV on Saturday. Always hurts attendances a fair bit. Just too easy for people to sit at home.

The Friday night game between South Fremantle and West Perth might go okay though. (If the South fans are still out there)

Used to be an Eagles member, once or twice a year had to make a decision Demons/Eagles.

Demons always won and a mate used to benefit with a free Eagles ticket for the day.

Total 10509

It would be great to be able to get these numbers every week and then we could build on it from there.

They're not bad figures in all reality. I've heard NRL games called on the radio where they have announced crowds of around 3,500. The NRL without a doubt is the second biggest football code/league in the country.

Night games are the answer for bigger crowds IMO.

Instead of night games what about the twilight games on a Saturday. Games would start at 4pm and be finished by 7pm. If this was to happen though grounds would need to spend more money on fixing their lights.

Cannot believe there were only 2372 at Basso who traditionally have good crowds either way. Perhaps a Easter Monday game would have been a better option.

Yep an easter Monday is defo the way to go - for at least one games, has always been a good day for WAFL.

yes I really like th enight games, cannot understand why SF only have one this year.

twilight on a Saturday is also a great idea, i reckon that would work well down at freo allows you to finish the game about 7pm go out for a few drinks and a meal afterwards and still not be too late.

South are having a twightlight derby game ANZAC day - should be interesting to see how it works - unfortuntly the next day is a work day for a lot of people although a lot of people are having the next day off and maybe going away.

i reckon we can still be a lot more creative with the fixtures, twighlights also double headers, perhaps even pre AFL curtin raisers.

Last years Easter round they had the EP v Perth game on Good Friday (3774), Peel vs EF on the Saturday (1573), Claremont v WP on Easter Monday (2212) and Swans v SF on Easter Monday (3792). The Easter Monday games look like something that could be used as a stand alone game in the future as well as the Good Friday games. The game lasy year went up against the second half of the Hawthorn v Geelong game which went right down to the wire from memory.

We have to remember that one game has to be played on Saturday for the ABC.

Also, the coaches have in the past expressed a desire not to play on Mondays whenever possible. I'm pretty sure that was the reason for not having a Monday game this Easter.
