I am surprised at the average of 18k+ over the past 10 years.
If the DEES ever make a GF in my lifetime the stadium will be full of DEE supporters coming out of the closet.

Hopefully they'll come out of the woodwork rather than the closet. Not that there's anything wrong with it and probably by the times the Demons do make a GF it'll be compulsory anyway.

The VFL dont play their GF at the MCG, its Princess Park for all the same reasons.

SS you do realise with the WACA's proposed new redevelopment upgrade to a boutique style venue it will have a reduced capacity of only 10,000.....nowhere near 25,000!

I do agree the WACA plans of 10K with an ability to 15K expanded format is about 5K short of an ideal capacity.

Nah A few got around the 21 or 22 mark, Subi v SF and SF v Claremont were above the 20K mark not by much though/

I remember about 10 - 15 years the WAFL set a target of 20k for each GF. They seemed to have dropped that target while back. That was all fine when it was being played at Subi, which basically hosted it for F all, different caper now.

Where is this massive red and black army that is often spoken about? The crowds reported for Perth games this season have been rather small. I can only go off the figures but Claremont East Freo had a bigger crowd this week than the much more crucial Perth Subi game.

It's hard to believe crowd estimates even when they quote an exact figure Tiger. For instance Perth v Peel down there first round I think they recorded an exact figure of 3479. Yeah right unless they had the Torana car club event there earlier in the day and counted that.

Then our second round against EP (their first game for the season) I thought easily 2500 and looked much bigger than Saturdays crowd against Subi. They estimated 1800 approx for both games.

I assume you were at last weeks game versus us at your home ground. The ST recorded an exact figure of 1853. Are you saying the crowd size looked the same or more v EF? This week they estimated 1800.

You got to remember that any away game for East Perth gets the crowd numbers boosted. There are alot of East Perth supporters that travel the width and breath of the state to watch East Perth play.

Time to pull the plug on this lame brain idea asap and get it back to Perth Stadium with no afl GF there.
