Also the well known WA football identity on $1000/hr is allegedly a former South Fremantle and West Coast premiership full forward.

I hate the WAFC as much as anybody but mate you have got to stop getting bullshit info from your sources. They make you look silly so often

$1000 an hour. righto.

Do the math. 3 times a week sessions at 5 hours each time on average without adding on time planning

15 hours weekly minimum and that's being hard I bet it takes a lot longer
x 6 month gig
360 hours without games.

125k divided by 360

$347 an hour.

and that's being very hard on hours spent.

Good money if you can get it

Joke? absolutely

Should have to put up with a bullshit rumour made up on the spot and believed by simpletons

Absolutely not

Plus with that description there's not one bloke on this website who doesn't know who you are talking about so at least have the balls to name him.

WAFL left behing like idiots once again,,,August! what a disgrace

A massive opportunity missed to get a whole new crew along to WAFL with no AFL.

Then there is McGowan who has now allowed two mass gatherings with no enforcement, during a so called State of Emergency...utter BS.

Yet the crowds at WAFL are not allowed over 300.

He should resign.

If we had a true leader running the WAFC he would be getting on the front foot to the likes of McGowan, Dawson et al and demanding the WAFL season be brought forward immediately in line with the SANFL, PFL etc now that they have allowed this protest to go ahead on the weekend which could potentially have 50k and all within close proximity of one another with no record of all who are there and who they may have been in recent contact with unlike that which could be controlled at a WAFL game at the gate with a sign in register.
But alas as MO has stipulated they have all gone to ground over the leaked salaries document scandal FFS!

WAFC has around 130 employees with about 70 stood down during the pandemic. That leaves around 60 employees still working during a time when no footy is being played in this state....wtf have they been doing for the last 3 months to earn their salaries? certainly not planning to start up the WAFL at the earliest possible time.

Its a very good question BC, with absolutely ZERO football being played, coached, programs suspended etc we could have saved even more money for the WA Football Industry if all bar a handful of senior management were stood down back in March when the afl (not the WAFC) announced that all Football Leagues in the country bar their own namesake were suspended until May 31st at the earliest date...you then have to wonder what many at HQ have been doing for the last 3 months?
As the excuse being bandied around about why the WAFL season is not starting until August 1st at this stage is because of funding or lack of it...those extra savings could have helped finance the extra rounds FFS!!!

Absolutely spot on BH. An annual $9m salary bill extrapolates down to $2.25m a quarter. Having a skeleton crew working at the WAFC over those 3 months could have saved anything up to $2m which would have more than funded the WAFL playing from July based on Peter Capes saying in the clubs webinar a few weeks ago that it would cost each club around $125k to play a shortened season. Throw paying spectators into the equation for the last few games and suddenly it becomes even more viable.

Had they have been on the front foot from the start, they should have kicked off on the WA Day long weekend before everybody else.

I think what a lot of people forget is the WAFC is a defacto government body, they are patsies for the gov and just tow the line, wont rock the boat if it upsets anyone.
