A massive opportunity missed to get a whole new crew along to WAFL with no AFL.

Then there is McGowan who has now allowed two mass gatherings with no enforcement, during a so called State of Emergency...utter BS.

Yet the crowds at WAFL are not allowed over 300.

He should resign.

But Peter the Caped Crusader from subi will be able to sort it all out surely!!

Don’t blame McGowan for not caring about the WARFL., as he calls it, blame the administrators who have not spoken up for us despite, in many cases, bring elected by us to do so.

Not good enough.

AUGUST!!! FMD.

STD explain why your having a go at Capes when he's the only CEO to challenge the WAFC. It's late in the piece but better that all the other CEO's. Go and have a go at your own silent CEO before criticising others. Explain why your CEO doesn't have the balls to say something in public.

On a serious note though, if the amateurs get going before the WAFL then that really sums up the incompetence of all concerned running the WAFL sadly....

Lol would be fairly enticing for Fraser given his brother has been cleared to TAs. Another Ex-Perth and West Coast player Simon Tunbridge is at North Beach.

Agree regarding incompetence of the WAFL administrators

If the WAFL season is not brought forward now to mid July with 2 extra games each then they are all derelict in their duties!

The caped crusader agreed to AUGUST.

He and the rest who agreed to AUGUST are a bunch of no hopers.

That includes everyone. At least the rest aren’t now pretending they are ‘speaking out’ when they were the ones who decided on AUGUST.

Your guy is an idiot. He is the one who came up with the plan that deluca didn’t racially abuse Keifer Yu because Asian is not a race. What a dumbo.

Were you in the meeting of the WAFC and the CEO's genital herpes? How do you know he didn't express dissatisfaction at the August start date? At least he's trying to get the comp going which is more than I can say for Taylor or your limp wristed CEO.

I've come to the conclusion that your posts are so juvenile you're either a young kid on here to shit stir or you've pulled it one time too many, the things come right off and septicaemia has set in affecting blood flow to your brain...either way I'm not going to waste any more time responding to your rubbish.

Absolutely what this demonstrates is the complete generational morbidity of the WAFL management - its laid bare, no flexibility, no agility to re access, incompetence in influence, communication and lobbying for its own interests. You could go on and on.

SANFL has been outsmarting the WAFL since 1986 - everytime - nothing new.

True about the WAFL, they should of been way more on top of this ,,but you cannot have one without the other, MCclown makes the rules, the WAFL go with them, if these idiots in labor had any clue about WA sport and WAFL they would of reached out as a priority to get the thing moving and more importantly Mcgowan should of announced this weekend a total abolition of local restrictions.

Say what you like about about Barnett but he would of been in constant touch with Claremont and WAFL needs through this.

I heard our State Minister for Sport interviewed on the radio today mostly around the leaked WAFC salaries document (of which yes the $9 million paid to WAFC staff does seem over the top) and I was dumbfounded by some of his comments around the WAFL.
He couldnt believe it cost the WAFC $30 million a year to run a "mid tier league" as he termed the WAFL.
Firstly Mick the WAFL is the second best/biggest Australian Rules Competition in the world at least arguably with the SANFL.
Secondly Mick I think you will find that $30 million a year is used to run ALL levels of football in WA not just the WAFL, in fact I dont even think half of that would be used on the WAFL competition alone.
Thirdly Mick if you did not know the above 2 points about our biggest sport in WA/Australia im not sure you are cut out to be a Sports Minister!

Let's be honest Mick Murray is a dill. He's on the way out so he couldn't give a toss about the WAFL and he clearly knows SFA about it anyway. What is it with sport administrators in this country, they are nearly all halfwits??

It's great that a spotlight has been shone on these frauds at the WAFC. Now the government needs to force change and liberate some of the $9m soaked up by the bureaucracy and return it to WAFL and community footy. This is a classic case of the disease of affluence and its a big problem for lots of not for profits. Stop building fkn empires out of footy.

Dead Right about Murray, when you do rarely see him, he struggles to string a coherent sentence together and the rest of the time he is cutting a ribbon on something built by the previous mob.

He is just symptomatic of the current state gov, its a populist big ticket driven admin, to them theres the eagles and dockers and thats it, Mcgowan grew up in NSW and hasnt got a clue about WAFL, zero connection. His arrogance would put paid to any concern, a shrug of the shoulders - no votes in that and who cares at the cabinet table.

I'm sure you missed it STD but in the Subi on-line zoom meetings with members, Capes did mention his frustration with the lack of action by the WAFC, he/the club wanted an earlier start but he/the club didn't get their way, so please stop commenting on stuff you have no idea about ............ which, by the way is an awful lot of stuff.

Listening to Murray who was born and bred in WA yesterday on the radio he knows very little about the WAFL as well, at least McGowan has some excuse coming from NSW.
Does anyone in the current WA Govt Ministry have a WAFL affiliation at all?
