Not allowing the ball to go backwards would make the game more boring as the opposition know it can only go forward so with increased fitness you have 17 blokes waiting to defend it in front of the kicker

It would probably be an entertaining, though ultimately unrewarding exercise, to go back through older posts to see who have been the most vociferous complainers here about constant rule changes. B)

I have been a long time advocate of any mark in your defensive 50 to called play on if the kick was backwards. I don't agree it would lead to the result that MO believes - because if you are kicking it backwards, you are generally tryng to waste time if you have a lead.

The trailing team would naturally want to attack, so would not be hanging back in defensive mode.

Teams kick backwards to switch the play, it’s only late in games it’s to slow the game down.
This idea will never happen as afl already discussed it and coaches said it won’t work

There is now no excuse to delay WAFL any longer.

The two WA teams better get their shit together, there could be a golden opportunity to play the 2020 AFL Grand Final here in Perth. Once in a lifetime opportunity. Get cracking boys and pull your fingers out.

Eagles v Freo GF at Optus. Won’t happen, but they’d be hanging off the rafters...even without the Mexicans flying in from the east.
