There is now no excuse to delay WAFL any longer.

The two WA teams better get their shit together, there could be a golden opportunity to play the 2020 AFL Grand Final here in Perth. Once in a lifetime opportunity. Get cracking boys and pull your fingers out.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

What an opportunity this is for the WAFL to be the premier footy comp in WA with the AFL self-imploding. If the WAFC stuffs this up then all hell should break loose. We could have double or even triple header games at Optus which might get crowds of up to 30,000 with no other live footy going on...who knows?...but Gavin Taylor and his no-hoper mates need to get their arses in gear asap.

Stuff the scratch matches lets just get into it asap that is a proper 16 game season playing each team home and away and then a normal Top 4 Finals series.
Who cares about having our GF a week before the Vicco League they will be lucky to even finish their season by Xmas if they want to keep playing games in Vicovid!

Hello WAFC anyone home?
Get the fixtures up asap and lets FINALLY see some bang for our buck on the $10 million wages bill!

Exactly what I reckon, rip into it ASAP, 16 rounds, and a normal finals series...

AS BC said what an opportunity...

Something tells me WCE and The Dockers might get jealous and hold us back....

Talk about dropping the ball wafl clubs and administrators. Imagine if you had been pushing to get back ASAP and talking to Ch 7 along the way just in case...

there used to be a phrase in our sport: 'you must kick over the mark' we should be encouraging its return. Importantly, it would discourage side ways and backwards kicking without having to ban that as well.

Ark one thing that shits me to tears is the short kicking, currently a player marks, goes back off the mark and kicks the ball from there 10m and it's legal even though it's only 2-3m from where he marked it, it should be minimum 15m from where he marked it or the free kick occurred, not from where he's gone back 20m and kicks sideways 10m.

Agree.
The Ball should have to travel off the boot at least 25m from the mark or call play on.

SS,RSM: yep, I am with you both -- going back a few years, as you know, the umpires were quite strict on it; in fact, it is more or less compulsory to kick over the mark when trying to score a goal. It should apply across the ground at all times.

if you 'play on', it must be forward of the mark

Just needs a couple of simple things to straighten up the game. Players can still use the switch in the backline as long as the ball goes forward, if it goes back then it's no mark, play on, this will stop some of the chipping time wasting at the end of qtrs and games.

I agree, if the ball does not travel forward from a kick - absolutely no mark play on. Why that has not already been brought in is hard to fathom.
