Last nights game...geez I don't know why I put myself through that again, piss weak really, we pulled a heart muscle big time. Mifka the pos should have been sorted early and taken out of the game, either Langdon or Willett's sole job should have been to take that kent out, as it was their final game, it was a GF and most of all the prick deserved it! Joondy knew they couldn't take the chance of Heatley kicking another bag as per the 2nd semi, as a 1 point win is neither here nor there. Fk me Langdon was off a lot anyway, with stomach muscle problems or something. But regardless we gave up meekly and got buried with the sniff of a 20 year drought about to be broken. Feel for Bucky as it went against his own never say die desperate style and no way was there that much between the two sides that season. As Wally and the 2 Trev's said we picked a side with no pace anyway.
Last weeks repay the 85 GF, cracker of a game but chuck Keene on the ball ffs Bunts!
The 77 origin game- Cable's handballing was off the charts, mid 30's he still killed them!
The derby the dogs played great but it was a must win game for them and the perth derby 1st semi was a good even game for a qtr or so then all joondy. Cheers Sean!

The 1985 GF Waterson ran off Keene - clearly a plan and he had a good game. Keene into the middle allows Harding a very mobile ruckman a lot of freedom. You could be creating more problems.

Clinton Browning should have won the Simpson Medal in that 1985 GF, 6 goals in the wet was a match winning performance...with Wrensted's 3 majors on the ball also worthy.

Yes there must have been some reason TE. Taylor played well but not sure he should’ve got it Beas

Browning had a great game for sure - 6 goals from him is the difference. But you have to get the ball to him to kick those goals. Wrensted for me is clearly BOG - 30 disposals playng the entire game in the middle. It all starts with him going in and getting the ball. In 1985 Muzza was at the top of his game. Wilson also had a very good game. Likewise Waterson, Harding rucking most of the day, Neesham was like a little general too. Rankin had a good game. It was a hard fought win with few if any passengers.

Last nights 97 gf, cracking game but what a monumental fk up by spalding giving away that stupid 50m to campbell with only a minute or so to go, directly resulting in the winning goal from 25m out, it would have been a draw for sure, then extra time. Don't know what he was thinking, I thought Sellsy's miss in the 85 gf was bad, but thankfully both guys got the chocolates the following year respectively. Thought bromage should've won the Simpson but hynes got it, he did have a good game though. What are you doing to me Sean, another shocker vs joondy coming up tonight, their final game at leedy, terrible game for us. I've got the 86 Kalgoorlie S vs joondy match on vhs if you want it, much better game

On last nights game (97 GF) it was good to see some of the stalwarts from the WAFLs golden era (late 70s/80s pre wce) still running around in what would be their last year or 2 of League footy- Malaxos, Hart, Dorotich, Sumich etc. Gee those 4 were great footballers in their day and Malaxos & Hart especially were very good in the GF.
