Note that Jezza and agree although I will add I felt much more comfortable playing against these guys on the field than being on the sidelines supporting top side when hosting Nollamara. Love being threatened by putridly drunk blokes coz I'm white when doing nothing more than sitting down to enjoy mates playing a game of footy alongside my kids. Have given up on attending WAAFL games after that experience, my kids don't deserve or need to experience that. Hope the gutless wonder who provided the king hit is charged in court tbh...at least the wanneroo player should be entitled to have any medical expenses covered by the league and compensation for any loss of income at work etc...if the league are prepared to let them play (and I'm not against this in principal) then it would be only fair that they take responsibility when it goes wrong such as this...doubt they would have them in the league if they had to take that responsibility on thou...too risky , with that being the whole point here...lifetime football ban should be mandatory for the offender..not sure where I stand with regards to the whole team being punished as have had the odd loose cannon play alongside me during my years at basso (nothing against Basso, love the club & and aside from a couple of idiots a great club during the time i was there) with the now coach of Beechboro taking the cake as the most moronic...25yrs on and I hear he's still losing the plot although cant say I ever saw him walk up and king hit anybody from the blindside as has done the SD moron, he usually only wanted to kill the umpire/s, even tried a few times!!! Good luck to all who are playing in GF's this weekend. Hope spectators and players alike get to enjoy the day and give their best in a safe environment. Thuggery in sport needs to end before someone loses their life....one punch can kill...time for the league to get this message across. King Hits should be a mandatory minimum one year ban...2nd offence your out for life...there is no place for it in our game and would be a great example of no tolerance from the football fraternity to set for the rest of society, an opportunity to turn a negative in to a positive the WAAFL should embrace.

The punishment I think the team should get is a forfeit from next week and Wanneroo in, which has already been mentioned. I would have thought the prison would have done that anyway, they are normally pretty strict on the whole team for individual indiscretions.

Well the Gil Fraser oval has a couple of swimming pools on it today.
Rossmoyne 4 goals 10 points (34),and the Swan Districts 1 goal 1 point (7). Game over man.

E3

Hamersley Carine knocked off favourites Collegians 47-15 - it was a wet old day out there, I didn't even jump out if the car.

It is pathetic that they've been able to host finals on their submerged oval this finals series. Good to see the league buckling to the powerhouse club that is north Freo yet again. Glad no one got hurt because the WAAFL has been negligent in its duty of careletting games go ahead there

Was at Gil Fraser Oval.
Apart from a couple of near drownings with players driven face first into the 6 inch deep lakes, lucky no serious injuries in our game.
Just wondering though, usually dont we have to sign off on the ground report for the jlt insurance?

Well the result of the grand final didn't really come as much surprise, I'm glad to see Districts cop a flogging after the incident last week against wanneroo.
Although I'm not a fan of them being in e grade il give credit where its due to the Rossmoyne boys, you have been by far the best side this year.
Will be interested to see if they do field a second side next year given their domination of e1 this season (going undefeated with a percentage of 400 by whipping 3rds sides isn't exactly challenge seeking).

I do hope next year the WAAFL sort out the grading within the e-grades because its pretty clear there's a real imbalance between the best and the rest from e1 through to e4.
I feel it's in their best interests to keep these grades as competitive as possible and maintain a sustainable competition for future years.

Enjoy the off-season everyone.
